Watch out - scam alert 
Hiya ladies and beautiful babies.
Well I just thought I'd post on here and warn you lot of a scam going round.
A few weeks ago we had a phonecall from someone called child protection uk ltd. They claimed that we had agreed to sponser them to make some drug awareness books to send out to local schools (it was my OH on the phone and he has a memory like a goldfish so couldn't remember if he had agreed but it's not something he would do as we don't give to charity)
She was very pushy on the phone with him and insisted that he had agreed to do it so Jonny being Jonny said ok I must of done! So she said she would send him some info in the post.
We thought nothing more of it until last week when the postman came with a large envelope. We opened it and there was a drug awareness book. Attatched to it was a letter saying thank you ever so much for sponsering this book blah blah. There was a tacky certificate saying thank you for your kind support in our campaign ( it looked like Daisy had made it! ) At the back was a tacky invoice saying 32 drug awareness books £199!!!!!
If we paid over the phone on our credit card it would be £10 cheaper etc and I smelt a rat straight away!
I googled the company name and it came up with their website plus another website claiming it was a huge scam and the money isnt going to making drug awareness books at all!
We have had 3 more letters from them, getting nastier each time stating that if we do not pay the bill by 21.08.09 they will be taking the matter further!
There is a police officer that is in charge of the matter and they are trying to deal with them but apparently lots of poor unsuspecting people have fallen for it. One of them almost being my dad! He had wrote a cheque out for them and was about to post it off when my mum realised it was a scam!
Be warned girls. They also do a booklet on bullying and similar issues.
