1st vaccinations

Archie has had his first set of jabs today!
He cried initially as they were given, then recovered quickly.
He then slept whilst I walked him home.
Then woke after anout 20 mins crying.
He had a bottle-FINE
Slept for about an hour.
He woke screaming, I couldnt do anything with him, went on for about an hour.
I took his temp which has been fine all day.
I stripped him anyway and managed to get him reluctantly back off to sleep.
He slept for about 3 hours
I then gave him a bottle which he threw back up straight away - ALL OF IT
So I gave him 3 ounces so he had summin.
Hes now just moaning a bit, not really settling.

I was just wondering i anyone else has had a baby react like this, when I say screaming I mean SCREAMING, and Archie isnt a cryer AT ALL.

And whilst Im typing hes just been sick again!!

I dont know what to do, PLEASE HELP GUYS xx

Hey

I put a post on this morning about Megan, well tonight has turned into a bit of a nightmare.
She was all fine, had some smiley bouts in the day, and was actually quite sleepy, but tonight she has screamed and screamed, her temperature soared, and she was screaming so much she was stopping herself breathing. we have now given her calpol and she seems to have settled but waking up regularly. apparently its normal reactions

Hope he has settled for you now, calpol will really help.

Nat and Megan xx

oh dear,
hope u get sum answers from the nhs direct. if he isnt 2 distressed then im sure he will be ok?
maybe its just a side effect hes having.
good luck hun n hope hes ok 2moro.xx

Hey Adele,

Didnt the nurse or the doctor recommend Calpol??...he is old enough now to take it. Rosie SCREAMED her head off but nurse said when u get home give her some calpol which worked wonders she slept for about 2 hours! woke had bottle and would not settle really grumpy, wingy and screamy (which isnt like rosie) so it says u can give 2 lots of calpol in one day for babys (dont quote me on this read the box) but i gave her some more calpol after she took bottle and she slept again only for an hour but she was still a little grumpy all night. She was never sick, i wouldnt worry to much but i would ring the NHS Direct and just explain that he has had injections today but not keeping his feed down.

Hope this helps

Lucy & Rosie (next lot of injections next friday )

I have given him 2 lots of Calpol, its the vomiting, he just keeps doing it, he doesnt seem distressed tho!!
I hate not knowing what to do!! Im on the phone now to NHS direct.

Thanx Adele xx

aw bless him... let us know how u get on with the NHS direct.

He may just have an iffy stomach today and its unsettled it having the injections. hope he gets better x
