Bank scam 
Hi everyone
Just wanted to warn you of a scam going on at the moment, it has so far been barclays, not sure about the others.
My mum got a phone call 2 weeks ago from someone claiming to be from barclays saying that she was going to get all the bank charges back for the last 2 years, they had all her details down to the number on the back of the card, so she didnt think anything of it and was quite happy. They told her all she needed was to have money in her account over £300, so of course my mum told them the date the money goes into her account from her pay, and the best time to call her back.
She went in today as she had done a decorating job so she wanted to put the money in her account, and sort out what direct debits and then mentioned it to the woman that was helping her out to tell her that its a complete con and it has nothing to do with barclays, so mum has had to have a new card with a new number and everything cancelled to be set up again.
There is something going on with bank charges, we were told by abbey but banks will contact people through the post and will only contact people who have applied for bank charges to be repaid, but its not until october.
mum was gutted, as they promised her over £1200 back.
