Ring slings to carry thomas

Hi all

DP & I took Thomas out to a place that wasn't good for pushchairs & I thought it would be good to buy a baby carrier for when we go to places like this in the future. So I read up on baby carriers, I was pleased to see that in a way, they are seen to aid a childs development - in the way that they seem to be more confident & independant than babies put in pushchairs, I though this to be strange but "opinions" seemed good.
I found this lady on eBay & she has her own site.....

http://www.herbalbaybee.co.uk/

I bought the ringsling & tried it out on a shopping trip. I must say it was great!! The only problem was is that I think I wore it for too long (almost 4 hours). Thomas slept for approx 3 1/2 hours of this - which was great. I definatley recommend this for a quick trip out.

Anybody else have experiences of these, good or bad?

Hiya hun

we looooooooooove our sleepywrap - it's more of a wrap than just a sling - one long piece of fabric that you wrap around and tie then baby sits in it in whatever way is comfy at their stage. can use them from newborn to whatever - there is a pic on their site of a 4 year old being in it lol

anyway, it's seriously comfy and i am perfectly comfy carrying her all day in it, even though she's not the slightest of babies lol

www.sleepywrap.com their customer service is excellent too!

we used our mura 4 pram in the winter - and will have to go back to using the buggy in the winter again, too icy here to carry her in the sling then. but we always use the sling when in shopping centres etc. but for now i wear her in the sling when we walk, shop, when i'm doing housework, everything really.

hugs

Wow that sounds great

I've read that the ring sling can be used from newborn to 3 years. Thomas is quite big - well for me anyway, I think I need to pump some iron so I can get used to carry him a bit longer lol.

Thx for the reply hun
