In labour need advice

Ive been having contractions since having a show on saturday morning. I was woken on friday night with pains but thought nothing of it untill the show. I rang the hospital and was asked to come in so off we went. The pains were comming every 10min. Was put on a monitor and baby is ok and the contractions were being picked up. so then a dr came in and did a speculum and couldnt see my cervix so i was sent home and told to come back once the contractions were regular and closer together.

They have been getting gradually closer together and more painful but this has been going on since friday night! and i am convinced im having all this pain and its not doing a thing. The last time i timed the contractions they were 3-4min appart and lasting 1min and much stronger than the previous ones. Ive woken up thismorning with regular pains but they dont feel as intense.....what the heck is going on??????? I dont know if i should bother doing in to the hospital or not because i am managing ok with the pains using breathing and moving around (very good at making me relax)

Any advice would be great, this is my 2nd baby but i was induced last time and didnt get early labour pains so not sure what the heck to expect.

Thanks

my waters started leakin 2am on a tuesday with period type pains, had a examination which showed the waters had gone so booked in for induction next day... Wednesday 2am more pains coming every 5mins apart rang delivery suite they cancelled induction cos i was getting myself into labour... then by 12noon wednesday they rang becuase they left me to long with waters broke but by this time contractions were 4mins apart lasting a minute or so and the MW said i wouldnt yet be in labour because i was talking... well when she checked ready to induce me i was 4cm (SO I WAS IN LABOUR) got stretch to 6cm so i if you are worried in anyway i would ring delivery suite because the MW didnt think i was in proper labour but i was!

Goodluck!
