2nd injections

Rosie has her 2nd lot of injections tomorrow morning and im not looking forward to it! She was very sleepy and grumpy the 1st injections she had, once she had her feed she would scream and cry loads untill she eventually went to sleep...all i can say is THANK GOD FOR CALPOL!

Are the 2nd injections just the same as the 1st and did ur babies react the same as the 1st injections?

Rosie is fine - thanks

As soon as we got to docs she wanted to come out of pram, so got her out and she had a look around, then when we got to nurses room she cried lol i think she knew what was coming and again she screamed and cried her eyes out when both injections went in, then i put her in pram with dummy and muslin cloth to cuddle into and she was fine.

As soon as i got home i gave her calpol, her 1st injections she feel asleep most of the day but not this time she was so playful and kept smiling at me and then we went for a walk with the dog and she feel asleep in pram. when she woke for a feed, she was a bit fussy with it but managed to finish 5oz then she was playful again.

When i fed her this evening she was very fussy and grumpy so i gave her some calpol for the night, she took ages to fall asleep but partner managed to get her off and she shouldnt wake untill 8am *fingers crossed*. Hopefully next couple of days she should be ok.

Hey

I am dreading Megans 2nd lot of injections!

I had Lee with me for the first lot and he held her because I couldnt do it, and then i got her for cuddles afterwards but for the next lot im on my own.

I remember with my nephew he was so upset for the first lot but didnt react so badly for the 2nd lot.We have got the calpol ready and waiting.

Hope everything is ok

Hello

Ben was fine having his first lot of injections however we had a bad day - screaming alot 2 days after. The second set he screamed when the needles went in and was really up set but then again fine untill 1 bad day 2 days later. He has his 3rd lot next tuesday so i am also wondering what he will be like at these. He hasn't been ill at either of them. My HV told me to give Ben calpol straight after injections wether he needed it or not as he was very poorly when younger so they wanted him to have it as a precaution, maybe this helped.

Sorry not much help to you though

Jodie and Ben 17 weeks old

Thanks for replies

My nurse also told me to give calpol as soon as i got home regardless if she has high temp or not so we did and then we gave another lot 4 hours later because she was screaming, quite hot and very fussy with her milk.

Nat - I held rosie which i was surprised about because i hate needles but its just the screaming after its horriable, im going on my own today ekk!! ...shes playin on her play mat and shes none the wiser that she has to have the injection in 15mins or so lol... i better get going!

Hey hun, how did Rosie get on today?

I too am dreading Archies second lot of jabs, he was so bad after the first ones I was on the phone to NHS direct as he couldnt keep anything down and wouldnt stop screaming!! I was on my own and was in tears when I spoke to Matt telling him what he was doing!! I actually gave him Calpol B4 ! went to the Docs and again 4hrs later, I dont think it helped him tho

I hope everything went ok and Rosie isnt too bad hun xx
