Birthday party politics / older siblings

Hey ladies, hope you're all well,

Was just after some views about birthday party invites, am just thinking about a list of Isla's close mates to invite to her first birthday party and am a bit unsure about what to do about their older siblings.

We don't want to go overboard cos from what I can gather (esp after posting on here about it before) it's likely to go a bit unnoticed by her anyway, but want to do something for her.

My dilemma is quite a few of her little mates have toddler siblings, and although Isla never see's the older ones am wondering if I'm inviting the baby and the mum should I be inviting the sibling aswell?

Those of you with more than one child what do you think? have yours been invited to parties separately (with you?) or do you tend to find it a bit rude if only one is invited?

Feel very new to all this sort of stuff and don't want to offend any of the other mums!

Thanks
Love N & Isla (very nearly 10 months) xxx

Maybe not rude

but sometimes not practical. Say if Francis got invited I'd most likely have to take Charlie along with me as I've got them all the time and he wouldn't understand why he wasn't to join in etc. If you know that the mums would have to bring all the kids I would say invite them but if it's no problem for someone to look after their other kids then just invite the little uns.

I would not think it was rude if only 1 of my kids got an invite from their individual friends but I would only attend if I was able to get the other looked after iykwim.
