Hey

Glad your oh is better now and congrats on passing your driving test.

I have been told today that i am to start trying megan with baby rice once a day, she is only 10 weeks. but she is constantly hungry. im a bit wary about it but have tried her today and she seems to like it.
The hv told me that everything is just guidelines and that hardly anyone sticks to it, she even admitted to giving her daughter baby rice in her bottle from 6 weeks old.

You know whats right so just go with it.

Good luck

Hey hun

Wow 9oz that's great. Have you tried Tomme Tippee bottles? They do a 12oz. I'm not gonna be any help I'm afraid, Thomas is 12weeks today & on 6oz 3-4 hours. I have a mother & baby class next Tuesday on weaning. I've been told not to wean til 6 months because the digestive system isn't fully developed yet?? My mum keeps telling me to thicken Thomas' milk by adding rusks to it. Have you spoken to your HV? "Old school" says to give your baby what it wants...ie start weaning when hungrier at 4mths +, but now new "text book" rules say we MUST wait til 6 months. I think experience holds up well, go with what you think is right. Most people I know weaned b4 6 months.

tc Caz & Thomas 12 weeks today xxx

Hey thanks im actually using tommee tippee didnt know they did 12oz bottles... will have a look out. Well i weaned my first at 4months cz she was also a greedy baby lol so i think i might just do the same with yas. J was fine, she eats well now still and shes 3! no complains with her eating at all. think im gonna go along with what i know... will have words with HV aswell though

Hey hun

I too was told not too start weaning before 4 months and to try and make it 6 months because the digestive system isnt advanced enough. The HV wouldnt say to do things if it was going to cause harm, every baby is different and they do say to listen to what your baby wants, they know!

It is confussing!!
