Babys age weeks months

Hey i was having a look at my calander the other day and it works out that yasmin will be 16 weeks on saturday, which technically should work out at 4 months BUT shes not actually 4 months untill the 16th which is another 2 weeks or so?? its so confusing? what should i go by when it comes to weaning? should i go by weeks or months?

other than that how is everyone? we went out today and bought yasmins highchair. cot sheets and cot bedding set and we are collection her cot on monday cant wait. she still fits in her crib but she keeps knocking her arms and legs on the sides now so just figured shed be more comfy in a cot as it gives a bit more room! shes growing so fast! she out grew her moses basket a while ago now!

Hope your all doing well! xxxx

thanks for all the replies girls, well shes drinking 9oz of milk every 4-5 hours sometimes even every 3 hours!!! shes teething aswell and her fists are constantly in her mouth! shes dribbling everywhere and she watches us eat sometimes so not sure will see how we go but i dont think she will last till 6 months to wean... no way lol! might try her with some baby rice or something after 17 weeks then

I know

how confusing is it? I spent my whole pregnancy counting weeks and if someone asked me how many months gone I was it threw me! And now Sam is almost 7 months I have switched back to months and have no idea how many weeks he is! Life would be so much easier if there were exactly 4 weeks in each month, then we'd know where we are. I'd go by weeks for weaning tho.

Ooh, how exciting. I remember when Sam was still in his moses basket and he was squished right in, he slept so much better when he moved into his cot...he loves it. Trouble is he's that flipping long dunno how long he's gonna fit in that!

Ages

Hi,

Havent a clue how old Emily is now in terms of weeks, perhaps 27 or 28, who knows. I say she is 6 and a half months old and I will count her age on the 18th of each month.

You do lose count after a while...

Is Yasmin showing signs of wanting food then?? This is where it gets interesting and messy.

How exciting that she has her cot and highchair. We fed Emily on our lap for a while (weaned at 17 weeks) but it got so messy so we have the highchair now and it is soooo much easier!

Natalie & Emily (6 and half months!!) xx

Hiya,
Yep I'v thought this on many occasions!!!
Well the HV always goes by weeks so I have just done the same. They always write the week over 52!!!
My baby is 13 week old 2day, so 3 month but not by date til 2moro!!!!
If people ask me her age I say shes 3 month, 13 week!!!
I remember buying my highchair. It was really exciting as I always fed on my knee at 1st!!! I haven't got 2 get one this time as old one fine 4 baby! Its awaiting her 2 cum of age in the shed!!!
As its only a few weeks between I would start weaning whenever u feel ready 2 n when u think she is ready. At 1st they only take very small tastes of baby rice etc so it won't harm either way. Good luck!
