Reflux!!

Hey girls, I hope you are all well xx

I had to take Archie to the Docs again today, hes started to scream everytime he burps or vomits!! Its got to the point where hes not finishing his bottles.

The Doc said its probably reflux and hes on Gaviscon and Ranitadine, Im hoping this will do the trick, hes turned into a really unhappy baby this week because of it

Has anyone elses baby had this?? And how do they do on the treatment?

Adele xx

Thank you 4 the advice girls n hope ur little ones r ok now. I have made a docctors appointment 4 Thursday so hipefully they will give her sumthing alongside the Gaviscon n this will help. Mummyand2. xx

????

hiya,
hope archie n u ok. well my baby is still suffering from reflux n hasnt yet lost more weight but isnt gaining lots.
HV said she may have 2 have sumthing other than the gaviscon if she keeps it up! wot is RANITADINE that u say Archie has? Is this better than the gaviscon? HV also said she will b on the gaviscon til she is weaned now!!!!
Should I take her 2 docs?

Hey hun

Hes doing ok. The Gaviscon hasnt stopped the Sickness completely but it has stoped it making him scream while hes doing it. The Ranitidine is an Antacide, so it stops the acid coming back up and burning.

I was also told he would be on these for a long time, Natalie said that giving megan baby rice has helped her, I might give that a try too.

If your worried, go back to the docs, its so hard to know what to do isnt it??!!

I hope she feels better soon.xx

Hey

Megan has reflux, they say by 12 weeks it starts to get better.

Since putting her on baby rice once a day, things have got so much better for her, its horrible though. Her being sick and distressed all the time was really getting me down

Gaviscon seems to work for a while but then stops, but ranitadine works really well

Hope things get better for him soon

Nat and Megan xxx
