General rambling n stuff

Hi Girls,

Hope you are all okay.

Just a general ramble from me today, Emily is having her morning nap and I have just finished my shreddies!!

Anyway, Emily is 7 months old next week (!!!) where is the time going. No sign of any teeth but teething signs are there so hopefully a little white peg may appear soon, anyway you will be the first to know.

Starting to think about going back to work, due to go back at the end of October, part time. Looking forward to it really but we are now in such a good routine here that everything will need to be tweaked and getting all three of us fed, washed and dressed before 8am will be a challenge!!

Emily is not crawling yet, she still really hates being on her tummy, I do try a few times a day but after a minute or two she cries. I am hoping that one day she will just crawl but I get the feeling she will be a bum shuffler!! Are any other 6-7 months olds not crawling yet. I think coz Emily is very petite perhaps her little arms cannot support her body - who knows. Will get her weighed again next week but last time (mid Aug) she was only 13lb 13oz so still really light!

I have started the ball rolling to arrange Emily's Christening. We have the Reverend coming round next Tuesday night (now where did I put my doileys!) to see if we can get Emily Christened in our local village Church. I am really nervous about her coming round and more nervous of saying 'more tea vicar!' Anyway we are seeing if we can get this done before the end of October i.e. before the winter - maybe they will throw in a wedding free of charge??

Mark is still having loads of tests to see what is wrong with him. He is actually feeling alot better but his blood is not right, his platelets are too low to consider a lumbar puncture so now we have an appointment to see a Hematologist to see what is going on with his blood. This has been going on for a while now but hopefully we should get a diagnosis before the year is out. On a more positive note (those who read my message last week), Mum came out of hospital the next day and it was not a panic attack but some rythmic electrical thing with her heart. It may not happen again - who knows.....

Anyway, thats enough of me rambing, fairly pointless post really but sometimes this place is like a diary putting down your thoughts!

Have a good day everyone, apparently we are in for a hot week? I didn't know this until after I had done the food shopping and we have warming foods this week, i.e. shepherds pie, slow cooked lamb shanks - oh well!!

Lots of Love
Natalie & Emily xxxx

Ooh good, i love a good ramble!

Cannot believe we are approaching the 7 month mark...bonkers!

I should've been going back to work soon but have extended my leave altho I feel that it actually won't be that bad and I feel better about Sam going to nursery now i've found one and they seem nice. A month or so ago I couldn't face the thought of leaving him with strangers!

You could ask the vicar about buy one get one free, about time the church got with new marketing techniques I reckon!! we're not getting Sam christened or anything, I think it would be hypocritical of us as we don't have any beliefs or go to church or anything.

Sam was weighed last week and is 18lb 10, which is dead on the 50th centile, his height is on 98th tho, he's going to be tall i think, unless he stops growing and that would be weird! He's not crawling yet altho he pushes up his arms and occasionally pull his knees up but not at the same time yet. No rush eh, he's bad enough with the rolling and we still haven't baby proofed the house, need to decorate and fit shelves in the alcoves so everything can be put upwards and out of reach of grabby little hands. Better get a move on really but not easy with a DIY phobic like Dan!

Glad your mum is out of hospital and that Mark is feeling better, really hope they find out what's wrong soon, is it hard having it hanging over you? Would the blood prob be a symptom of MS?

Hmmmm, lamb shank, we could do with that up north, it's not flipping hot up here, well it was yesterday but today was a return to rain and wind. Hopefully better tomorrow tho, love Rach...the eternal optimist! x
