Boredom kicking in...

Hi there,

I am so bored today, fed up with the same old routine, doing bottles, dishwasher on, washing machine on and general tidying and of course looking after and feeding Emily. Do you get days like this, I am bored of walking on my own and I don't want to go to the shops as I have no money. There is a Baby Group which is a Friday in our village but Emily is the only real baby and I end up on my own with Emily on the play gym which I may as well do at home.

Perhaps I am going thru a phase but this tells me I am ready to go back to work and then I will appreciate the time I have at home with Emily......

It can get boring...

... i'm so lucky cause i work part time from home and do my work when she's asleep or playing.... i used to work in central london in the City and i could never go back now...! i love being at home and even though i earn alot less i'm alot happier.....! so long as i can pay my mortgage and treat me and the little princess i'm more than happy.... i do get out with her every day though, swimming, tumble tots, baby signing, music group etc or just take her to the park or softplay.... i think you need the break and fresh air or being at home could drive you mad...
you have to do what makes you happy hun and if you feel you would have a better quality of time with Emily if you went to work than you should look into it... alot of mums feel exactly the same as you and a happy mum means a happy baby.....
when i'm at home i'm constantly washing, cleaning, cooking etc and it can get monotonous... i just try and do something potaneous every now and again because if you're out of the house all day there's less housework to do too....!
not sure if i just rambled on or actually helped there...!

Hey!

I think I will appreciate being at home when I am back at work as I will be at home on Wed and Fridays plus the weekends so that will be my catch up time with the washing and cleaning and obviously spending time with Emily. We will also have Baby Sensory every Wednesday morning so that will be good!

I am feeling alot better today, after Emily's milk at 2pm we are heading into town to do some shopping, its our Anniversary this weekend and I will be doing some Xmas Shopping too as I know that when I go back to work, a) I will have no money and b) I will have no time!!

The sun is shining and me and Emily have already walked down into the village (Emily in her baby carrier) for some milk - what an exciting life I lead.

We all have days where we feel the walls are closing in and i also feel bad for Emily that perhaps she is bored too....!

Anyway, enjoying Loose Women at the moment whilst Emily is asleep - bliss!

Love

You are right because i have those days when i think if i do one more load of washing up and clean my kitchen i'm gonna scream......!!! lol but then the next day you're fine... at least you'll be home on 4 days and like you said you'll really appreciate that time......... hope you had a good afternoon shopping and having lunch........
i love going for little walks too... i carry cadene and let her toddle some of the way if i'm not going far
at that age i used to worry if cadene was bored so i used to read to her loads and just take her to the park to look around..... now when i red to her she just wants to chew the books lol
take care hunni xxxx danica and cadene xxx

evening

Had a nice day shopping, bought some new boots from Next, and our Anniversary Present, Picture frame with some piccies of Emily in plus I got a dress in Debenhams for Emily - 20% off etc....

Ha ha = when I read Emily books all she wants to do is eat them!!

Friday tomorra then swimming for the first time on Saturday for Emily!

xx

Hiya

I know exactly where you are coming from, it can get a bit monotonous. Are there any groups in other villages/towns? We break the monotony, which I think Sam feels too by visiting and going to groups at different children's centres. Just anything to get out of house really!

I tried to explain to Dan how I was feeling but don't think he gets it. But don't think I'm cut out to be a stay at home mum, I hate housework far too much and am very disorganised. It's a bloody hard job! x

Hi

I think Mark and I want to swap roles at the moment, he wants to be at home with Emily and I would love to go to work. I know I could not stay at home full time, it would drive me mad. I love Emily to bits but today I have found it hard just being at home with her.

I am going to town tomorrow to get a few bits for Birthday and Christmas to get the ball rolling and will meet Mark for lunch so that is us out for a few hours. I think as long as you can get out of the house for a little bit each day then it is not too bad. I think too much time at home already this week and I am even getting fed up with facebook.

I dont think Men get it - they think we have an easy life but it can get very isolated sometimes when there are too many days on the trot with nothing to do. However there is always the ironing - not!!

I am not disorganised, I am the opposite and I cannot switch off which is annoying at the moment. What would be nice is a chill in the garden in the sunshine with a good book - when was the last time we did that !!

Have a nice evening, I am off to bed in a mo!!
