Still not sleeping!!!

Hello ladies ... it seems ages since I was last on here ... sorry!!!
Well, Lydia is nearly 9 months now, and she's still not sleeping through!!! We had a couple of weeks of sleeping 10-5, but last night she went down at 9.30, was up at 10.40, 12, 1 and then was eating off me until about 5 this morning, I'm shattered!!!
I'm thinking of giving her some formular tonight, instead of expressed milk ... but I'm feeling guilty about it!!!
Any advice or suggestions???
A very shattered Janice and on the go Lydia,

Wow

been ages since i was last here lol, its funny as i was researching on the internet this very thing and it led me here! I don't have any suggestions I was looking for help in fact.
CC never slept through when she was younger she wasnt bad, she'd grumble a bit, have a feed, go off and wake up about 10.30, so i wasnt exactly shattered. The past month or so shes gotten worse I think its definitely teething related as shes a serious chomper now but its driving me to distraction. The problem is shes crying but shes not actually awake? so its hard to settle her as shes not awake if that makes any sense!
The only thing I can do is feed her but even this doesnt always work. Shes eating well during the day, 3 square meals, and some snacks. Ive started giving her formula just because feeding her was killing me, both my nipples were so cracked and sore that i just literally could not feed her for a few days while they healed. Theyre still not totally right and im considering giving up feeding her now i didnt want to so soon but I figure shes had the benefits of it for 6 months and shes on the food now too. I still feel a bit about it though!

Ive looked up all the suggestions on the internet, about making wake time playful so sleep time shes really rested, and having a strict bed time and other things, ive even got some sleepy lavender spray! still nothing works, i hope if some teeth pop through she might start to settle down.

Same here...!

i've posted before because cadene has been doing this since about 9 months..... i have her in bed with me so it's easier for me to just let her get on with it....! she has three meals and two snacks per day and is eating alot more now and since she's being doing that, thinking about it... she does it alot less now... some of it is comfort sucking because i didnt give her a dummy...........
have you tried giving her some weetabix before bed....? just half an hour or so before bed or some porridge maybe...
what time does she have dinner....?
maybe an earlier dinner so she is hungry to eat something before bedtime
or a later dinner so it holds her longer
i agree with ellizabeth that teething times are worse... cadene cut 4 teeth at the same time and she had me shattered for a couple of weeks.....! my (.) (.) were actually sore and i felt drained but it did get better....
hope that helps hun
xx danica and cadene 11 months xx

Hi hun

know that feeling!
siri has never slept through and how much she eats makes no difference
some nights she feeds every hour - but i think that is more linked to teething confort.
most nights atm it is every 2 hours. no idea why, but she does want to feed - not just cosy or play or anything like that.
was lydia feeding continuously last night? if so, maybe a growth spurt?

what food is she eating during the day?
siri is eating more every day - she's still getting the same amount, but she is mastering swallowing now! her nappies really changed yesterday. so i'm hoping she'll sleep more soon!!

it's actually not that bad as siri is really efficient now - so feeds just take 10 mins

will be interested to see what everyone suggests though

hugs
elizabeth & siri
