Daft question proberly but here goes

I have started Ben on Baby rice as he is constantly eating everything in sight, waking in the night, downing 7 oz bottles in minutes and wants a feed every 2 hrs, however he wont take more than 7 hrs at each feed. He seems to like the rice. However my silly question is you have to steralise spoons bowls etc when weaning dont you, as my friend said no cos once you take them out of steraliser to put in your bag if going out they become un steralised and what do people do with spoons, how do you keep them steralised when out and if u buy the spoon containers do you steralise that as well?

Hope all makes sence to you

Well

I have never sterilised the bowls or spoons but they are washed in very hot water. I do sterilise the little tubs when I carry snacks around with me and of course all the bottles are sterilised.......

Hopefully that is okay, Emily has not suffered as a result and to be honest, what they put in their mouth now it is amazing she does not suffer with tummy upsets!

Hiya,
Well I asked the HV when my oldest was a baby n she said 2 buy a spoon holder, and 2 just make sure it was cleaned and then put the sterilised stuff into it.
I know wot ur friend is saying though, but when I asked about the pots u measure out formula feeds in2 she said the formula isn't sterile once opened so the pots don't need 2 b, just clean!
I got a container 4 the spoons from Boots. It had one side for clean ones and the other for dirty. Very ood idea. They are a couple of pounds.

Hiya

i never sterilised any bowls or spoons, just bottles

as long as they are washed well thats all that matters.

good luck with the rice and the weaning.
