Pain last night...

Hi girls,

Need some advice, last night in the evening I had really bad pains in my ovary areas (both sides) and was difficult to walk (and drink wine!). It felt better with a hot water bottle on my tummy.

Went to bed but at 3am this morning I was in terrible pain on just the left side and could not move, eventually took a paracetamol and fell asleep at 5.30am and today i feel no pain as such but feel so sore and tender and generally ugh.

I called the Dr this morning who thinks it is ovulation pain, I have no other symptons and I don't think I am pregnant.

Do you girls ever had ovulation pain or something similar to what i had.... was really painful....!

Thanks Girls!

Natalie & Emily ( who is 7 months on Friday!!)

p.s. re my previous posts re family - spoke to Mum today and they are not coming to visit us before they go on holiday on Friday as they are too busy (bowls!!) So they won't have seen Emily since 5th August - very upset! I think Mum got that impression went we spoke this morning............

Odd..

I had this once, and the doc thought it was an ovarian cyst or something that had ruptured (very common). Happened about a week or so before the period came. Turns out it went away after that, but while it lasted it was some sharp pains in that area, couldn't walk or barely sit up. Doc put it up to an abdominal cramp. Could also be constipation? I don't know for sure, sweets.

Good luck!

Janine

Hi

hi ive noticed them alot more too since having my 2 boys but mine are down to pcos aswell which is a pain too its always very painful round the ovary area and i was put in hospital twice cos they thought it was my appendix thank god it wasnt but i was crippled in pain

karen and luke 2omonths and 13 week hayden

Since having sam

I have also noticed that all 'lady' symptoms have been stronger and i've been getting ov pains too...would've killed for these signs when ttc!

Do you think your mum knows you are a bit disappointed now then, maybe she needs to know, I'm sure she isn't deliberately not seeing Emily, maybe she just thinks its ok the way it is? x

Pains

Hi Rach,

The period pains themselves are not stronger, in fact they are better the moment, just not predictable when they are going to happen.

I have had these pains before, every couple of months or so - feeling better now but still really sore.

I think Mum does know that I was disappointed. She said that they are too busy to come down and see us before they go away, and i said really, what no time at all, and Mum sounded really awkward. I was really upset - its not that we don't get on but last time they saw Emily was the beginning of August and now it will be at the earliest mid October when she is nearly 10 months old. She also mentioned to me that she thought Waterbabies was a bit cruel and that Emily should not have been dunked! I wish she would keep her opinions to herself, I know that my Sister shows my Mum my Facebook page which is why I vent out on here and she saw the pictures. I am Emily's Mum and in my opinion and the opinion of thousands of other parents, Waterbabies is a good thing for babies and improves their confidence in water.

Anyway, just had news that Mark is not at risk from his job - there was a huge meeting today and they said when you get back to your desk, those who are at risk will receive an email but thank god Mark did not have this email and his boss has confirmed that Mark is okay with the job..... !!

How's you anyway, what have you been up to and how is Sam - runny bum cleared up???

Lots of Love
Natalie & Emily (7 months on Friday - eek!) xx

Hiya

Sorry about things with your mum, do you think you could tell her you're upset, it might open up a conversation where you can work things out? I agree with you on the dunking thing. Sam hasn't actually been swimming yet but gets a regular dunking in the bath! He really doesn't mind it, I personally think now is the time to get them swimming while it comes naturally, I never had that and as a consequence have a fear of deep water now. Dan's mum said that with all her children (5) they have literally let them go in water and they have swam and they are all now really strong swimmers with no water fear whatsoever. Dan thinks nothing of lobbing himself off the highest diving board which terrifies me!

Good news about Mark's job. what does he do?

We are good. Sam is a joy, I just can't get enough of him, he's not sitting up just yet but when he's on his belly he keeps trying to push up on his knees and ends up with his face in the floor. Still having teething symptoms but no runny bum anymore and no flippin teeth either! How's emily doing?

xxx

Good morning!

I agree with the swimming thing, if I thought that Emily was scared or in danger I would not let her do it.....

Mark works in IT for a Financial Company but I don't know what he does - he is my IT geek!!

Well the Christening is being arranged now and I need to call my Mum and I will tell her the date, not - are you free?? Will let you know how it goes.

Remind me how old Sam is? Emily is sitting up but is still not keen on tummy time. She is pushing with her legs and when I try and hold her to get her up she stands up!! She is quite sturdy now. Yep, Emily ends up with her face on the floor too - its like they don't have enough strength in their arms yet. More spinach! Emily is a right little chatterbox and is always making a noise, normally in Sainsburys or something but she is so good and lovely and a joy to be with - its fitting in all the other chores that need to be done that is hard. Today I am making up some more feeds (veggie stuff for her). Tried her with cottage pie yesterday but she is really struggling on other meaty or strong flavours so I will have to mix some veggies in with it. She cannot get enough of porridge or fruit and rice though!

No teeth here either and no teething symptons which is good, lots of dribbling though.......

He he he

Dan is an IT geek too! Something to do with programming or something, I don't understand it

Hope it goes ok with your mum, are you normally close?

Sam was 7 months exactly last Sunday, a couple of days older than Emily i think? He manages to sit for a while but then when he spots something he wants and reaches for it he ends up toppling over. Sam always seems to need to do a loud poo when we're in Asda and you get all these groans and a red face peeking out...bit embarrassing really!

I'm struggling with fitting in all chores etc as just can't leave him, am thinking of using the travel cot as a playpen or getting an activity centre for him to sit in, but even on ebay they are expensive. My dad has just been round to measure up for shelves in the alcoves to put as much as possible out of reach from grabby inquisitive little hands! Sam is eating well and will suck on toast and those organix baby snacks but he's not keen on lumps on his food just yet, he looks most unimpressed so I'm concentrating on introducing new flavours, he's had chicken and cod and i'm gonna try beef, before we try lumps again. We use the odd jar of hipps when we're out or have run out of home cooked stuff but it tastes very bland in comparison.

Take care x. Not seen Rach on here for a while, who had Nyla round same time as us, have you?

Evening!

Hi,

Oh so they are very close in age then, about a week apart..... I have a travel cot, not used it yet but when Emily gets more mobile i will be trying it out so at least I know Emily cannot get into any trouble. We have stereo wires in the lounge which need to be tidied up and I can see her getting right into things.

Quick note tonight as I am knackered but now you mention it I have not heard from Rach for a few days, we normally chat on FB but she has not been on for a few days. Will keep an eye out for her. I know she does not post much on here now but she does still read the posts.....

Have a good evening

Natalie x

Hiya

As soon as I started to read your post, the first thing that popped into my head was ov pain. I've had it bad where I have to lean forward & I find myself pressing on myself - thinking that will help = doh lol

If it carries on though, maybe go see doc cos it shouldn't last days.

tc Caz xx
