But of advice ladies

hey im still hanging on and have now reached 39+2!!! my last baby was born at 37 weeks so this pregnancy feels like its never going to end lol. I had a false labour at 36 weeks then have been having whole days and nights of comtractions with nothing happening so im frusterated as hell.

Anyway i have started to notice that im feeling all of babys movements and kicks really low down on my bum and pelvic floor and am now wondering if the baby has gone breech! Last week i went really wide for a few hours and i just thought baby was having a good stretch but now im not too sure wether it was infact turning.

Im wondering if anyone has had this so late on and if so what happend?

Hey hun

I found out Archie was breech at my 40 week check up!! All along they had been saying he was head down, when I spoke to the MW at the hosp they said this was impossible I would have felt him turn if he had which Unlike you I didnt!!! They had all got it wrong!!

They tried to turn Archie which is the most painfull thing I have ever experienced and I would never go through it again!! In the end I was booked in for a C-Sec which I had. The MW did try and get me to have him naturally but I didnt want too as its far more difficult.

If I was you I would express my concerns and asked to be sent for a scan to check, infact insist on it,

Good luck hun xx

Hi

Hello Kirst,

All I can say is that Emily was lying the normal way (cannot remember what they call it) and she was facing the right way too, I had scans right up until 38 weeks as Emily was a slow grower. However when I went into labour they discovered that she had turned and was facing the wrong way (i think face up) which makes it really difficult to push out.... I could not push Emily out this way so I had to have her turned with forceps inside of me.

Not planned but worked out okay in the end

Are you still having your appointments with your MW - surely they will be able to tell if your baby has moved??

Anyway, good luck and let us know how you get on!!

Natalie & Emily (7 months on Friday!) x

My first born was face up and i had to have forcepts too, not a nice thing.

last week she thought the baby was back to back as she could only feel limbs and she commented that she was unsure which was baby was laying so she left it blank in my notes (it was a student MW and a MW ive never met before).

Im due to see her today but am getting a bit worried as the baby was breech up untill 35 weeks.
