Not sure..................

i'm self employed working from home and my income alone is over £35k and that means i get some pitiful amount lol ............ so i'm not sure that you would get alot... found this website www.entitledto.co.uk ... maybe that would help because i'm not sure if it is different if you have childcare costs.. also when i worked for a company we could buy childcare vouchers from our salary before tax which worked out at a good rate so check that out too.... good luck hun... xxxx

hey hun

i dont think you would from what i have been told.

i dont work at all, i stay home with the kids full time, but when i have looked into childcare costs before, i was told by our local tax office that because our household income (ie, my hubby's income) is in excess of £35k, we wouldnt qualify - me earning money would obviously only serve to increase that.

as for child tax credit, i think we are entitled to £8 a week

love kelly, oliver 19 months and emilie, 25 weeks tomorrow

I work part time

and my partner full time, he's in sales so we don't know his exact income for a year until his p60 comes through in April, but from the figures we estimated, for our joint income is in excess of ~£45,000, we were told we'd get the minimum £10 a week or month(not sure), which I haven't claimed and no help with childcare costs, Eleanor only goes one day a week, that still amounts to about £180 a month though. Bloody goverment and the tax credits, I think it's made up as they go along, lol....I think I heard somewhere that if you earn between £35-£62k you get the minimum £10, over £62k you get nothing at all?? Of have I made that up?

I am

not sure how it works but the gov pay upto 80% of your childcare. I think that means that you will still be eligible but the amount is dependant on your salaries. So whilest you qualify for childcare - you might only qualify for like 20% (an example.)

Give the tax credits office a call or you might be able to find a calculator online.
