Weaning ideas please ....

We have started to wean Ben as he was waking in the night, downing all his bottles and eating anything he could get his hands on ha ha.... Has anyone got some nice first recipe ideas? Ben is currently on 2 meals a day, Breakfast and tea. He has a baby cerial for breakfast such as porridge with rasberry and apple from organix and a cube of something i have made for tea such as butternut squash, yesterday he had apple made with his milk. Ben has a milk intolerance so i have to make his food with his soya formula.

Does anyone know how long food can be frozen for? as every site i look on says something different from12 days to 3 months.

Has anyone liquidised pears, i tried but it still tasted grainy, how do you get rid of that grainy feeling?

Thanks

Hi

My son is 11 months and for his first foods i gave him baby rice & mashed banana, baby rice & stewed apricots (about a tea spoon of apricots, lovely and sweet, mashed avacado, stewed apple & pear they can be mashed with a fork after stewing as the go very soft.

after a few weeks introduce mushy peas, i steaped the marrowfat ones overnight and it made loads of tubs that i stuck in freezer for about a month. Also butternut squash and carrot pureed together after cooking

books are good but u wont use

Weaning.....

hey

i havent gotten on to the scary world of weaning yet.....but my friend recommended Annabel Karmels complete baby and toddler meal planner. You can get it on Amazon for about £10-it has loads and loads of meal ideas and gives advise on what to feed them when--ie what you can give them at 6 months/9months/12months etc.

Hi jodis & ben

My Traivys is 20 weeks too

I pureed pear and then mixed it with a bit of his usual baby milk and he seems to like it. I'm freezing stuff for a month as my limit but I think its veggies 6 months and meat and fish 3 months but I'm only doing a month to be on the safe side

YOu can go onto Annabel Karmel website for recepies:

Have fun hun
