reflux or something else?

Tonight whilst feeding rosie she got really angry and was stretching out screaming - we put it down to wind and she bought quite a bit up but continued to cry whilst chewing her fist. I checked her gums which were hard and she seemed to stop crying when i gave her cold water and rubbed her gums - i gave her calpol and she took rest of bottle and went to sleep.

When we came down stairs - 3mins later she was screaming so i rubbed her gums and she was chewing the teat on the water bottle, she calmed down and i put her back in moses basket then she was sick everywhere!!! the whole of her bottle came up, so we bathed and feed her again and she finally went off at 8.30 an hour later of her normal time. She did the same thing Sunday evening but with out all this teething, so i just dont know what it is?, i may take her to doctors or wait to see HV's on Thursday. But wondered if anyone has had a simular thing happen? I keep checking her temp but its coming up at 37.4 which is normal isnt it or a little high?

Any help appriciated

I didnt end up going to weighing as i was ill last night and this morning so i didnt want to pass it on to other babies etc but i have to ring doctors in morning for Rosie to book an appointment as the receptionist told me 2, but if i cant get one im gonna go mad! Today she's been chewing her hands, took her morning feed fine but all the rest of the feeds she just screams and trys sticking her hand in her mouth whilst im feeding her! and where she is sticking her hand in her mouth so much she is making herself gag and be sick.

Anywho hope ur all ok xxx

Hey hun

Archie isnt actually ILL with his reflux, its under control now on the mdication but before he would scream when he burped and when he was sick, he was constantly sicking up from small to big amounts of bottle every feed.
SHe may have a bug like the others have said, I would take her to the docs/Hv and see what they say, Im sure she fine tho hun xx

Hey

What does the sick look like?

With megan she will be sick straight after a feed and then upto 2 hours after a feed, the first sick is just like milk but its quite thick and gets everywhere. and then it comes up looking like cottage cheese and then clear with white bits.

She may just be ill with her teeth, with teething they can get runny nappies, high temp, headaches, irritable, tummy ache and ear ache. megan is normally always chewing her fists or anything else that she can put in her mouth, luckily she hasnt been too bad with it, but shes actually sleeping in the day again since she has been teething which is unusual for her.

xx

Hi lucy!

Her temperature is a little high so it is possible she is feeling a bit poorly and may have a bit of a bug. Probably just as well to take her to the doctors to get things checked out.

I hope she is feeling better soon Love Tracey xxxxx
