4 month sleep regression anyone???

Hi
I am wrecked! Ashira woke up every two hours last night. And she wasn't even that hungry! A few sips and down she went again! She used to sleep at least 4 to 6 hours at a stretch - I am really surprised now!

Has anyone heard of the 4 month regression and if so, have you experienced it? Ashira is 15 weeks now...

Katy

Last night

Hi Katy,

How did Ashira get on last night - did you have a better night?

Natalie

Ashira's night adventure

It wasn't quite as bad. Down by 8pm, up at 10.35 for a huuge feed and then straight down again. Up at around 2. However, this was a funny reason: I found her turned 180 Degrees in her cot and on her belly, crying for someone to put her back on her back First time ever she turned to her belly! And all this with a sleeping bag on! Pretty impressive! Maybe this is what kept her up so many nights after this she woke up at 5.30 which wasn't too bad.

Thanks for asking
Katy

I never knew what this was untill i looked it up... Sounds as if she is going through one or have you looked up signs ready for weaning? i know one of the signs is waking for that extra bit of bottle. Rosie usally goes 8pm - 8am but last night she woke twice as we heard her cooing and growling at herself but she never cried out so we just left her and she put herself back to sleep.

Sleeping

Hi Katy,

I cannot remember a regression at 4 months for Emily but we do get the occassional night when she won't settle or keeps waking up and wanting the dummy (however never food) or sometimes its like she has had a bad dream as she wails suddenly and it takes me half hour to settle her.....

Normally she is down by 7.15pm and then we may get stirrings approx 4-5am however Emily can settle herself but sometimes I have to pop the dummy back in and then she is normally awake approx 6 ish but chatting !

Hopefully what Ashira did was a one off. I wouldnt feed her unless she looks desparate for milk otherwise it may get her into a habit of having milk in the night. Sounds like she did not want it anyway.... Perhaps she was off colour or something. Lets hope you have a better night tonight!
