Feeling rough

Could it be mastitis? last night was so bizarre, i was absolutely fine, lying in bed, when suddenly i could not for the life of me get warm, i was shaking uncontrolably and had to get another duvet and still couldnt warm up. I had a rough night tossing and turning and feeling like an ice block, and when i stood up to go to the toilet i was so weak it was horrid. Today im still chilly all the time, then hot then cold then cold and hot at the same time. My breast isnt hard or under my arm, but the one side is a little hot and red. Ive kept feeding her off it and it doesnt hurt when she feeds. Im worried might be swine flu but i dont feel achey or anything just like i have a fever. Im going to see how I feel, ive been trying to eat and drink but not much appetite. I cant even give my babs a hug because im scared of infecting her so OH has had to do everything, and hes been doing well love him. The only thing i think is maybe my bra was too tight i know thats weird but it was tight when i took it off my boobs were sore and aching and i wonder if thats whats brought it on.

It sounds like mastitis, when i had it i felt the same... Very cold and shivery. This was back in June when the weather was really hot, we had windows open, the fan going and when i got into bed i just came over all cold and shivery, my partner was like "what are you joking" so he had to sleep downstairs with the back door open as it was boiling for him. But i was upstairs wrapped in the covers. In the day i seemed to be fine but when i got to the evenings i would come over all cold, i had a big burning rash on right boob which was very hard and sore and i couldnt let rosie feed off of it as it was so painful so i had to express off of that one then it went to my left one... i ran a course of antibiotics for a weekk but i did give b-feeding up because it was very painful to hold rosie to my breast. My boobs were big anyway and when my milk came in they expanded quite a bit so i had to hold baby aswell as supporting my boob lol it wasnt for me. Did u find out if it was mastitis?

i couldnt resist a snuggle much longer so i gave her excess kisses today. I dont know what it is feel really better today, no head ache today and not so shivery at all, still a bit funny on my feet but otherwise pretty good. My one boob is still red and it feels a bit harder today, still feeding babs off it, but it doesnt hurt at all which is whats confusing me. my MIL thinks if its still the same i should go to the docs as could be infection because ive had really bad nipples and she thinks maybe bacteria got in or something! but im feeling so much better today and if i can avoid doctors i will. But if my boob is still bad tomorrow maybe ill pop in just to be sure, it is really sore atm. its weird that i got it now im still blaming my bra lol ive been braless for 2 days and its lovely.

mastitus! Worth getting it checked out tomorrow anyway! If it is a bug or similar yr baby will get antibodies from yr milk so I wouldn't worry about being close to her!
