just wondering what age you gave / will give your little ones a baby fork to eat their dinner with....? i normally just put the food on cadene's tray but lately she's been grabbing at my fork... so last night i gave her her fork but she made loads of mess and hardly ate anything.... should i persevere....? i sit in front of her so she can watch how i eat but i dont know whether to just leave her with her hands for now...?

thanks girls... she's only just turnt one so it's quite early but she did really enjoy herself... might just give it to her at dinner and let her get on with it for now.............! how are you two getting on now with your bumps........? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

i read it 3 times lol!!

I think its different with different people my sister gave the twins a baby fork when they were really young and they were really messy but she said she wanted them to be independant but my friend was really strict and didnt give her son a fork until he could use it properly and has never been a messy eater and now still is independant and eats really well so its up to you - you could always put it on her try and give her a fork and sit with her and feed her yourself with another one...

xxx

Hey hun

How old is she?
I think Daisy was about 14 months when she started showing interest in my fork/knife etc.
If she is showing interest then let her have it. She is bound to make a mess and play with it at first as it's something new so it's all exciting for her. Perservere hunny. It takes them a while but she will soon start to use it how she should. Just let her play around with it and don't make a big deal out of it. If she does use it correctly then praise her.
Maybe try feeding her a few mouthfuls off the fork so she gets an idea. You've got the right idea with sitting infront of her.

Good luck

Love Kirsti, Daisy (3) and 35+4 yellow bump..xx
