Potty training - help

Hi,
My son is just over 2 years old and for the past 3-4 weeks i have been potty training him. I have not been doing it all day because i need to go out during the days so put him in a pull up. Most the time he is good but still has lots of accidents and wees everywhere and anywhere! He does tell me when he has a pull up on if he is going to wee so he must know the differencr between wearing and not wearing a nappy. Othertimes he will go and sit on his potty without even being asked, i dont understand why one minute he is fine and the next not. Is he just being Lazy? The other problem is that we live with my parents at the moment and i feel awful when he messes on the carpet or bed, im trying really hard to train him but feel its impossible where i am at the moment. We could have our own place but it wont be for atleast 6months so if i stop now will he forget everything he has learnt? Its been so hard so far i really dont want to go backwards! Really stuck and dont know what to do, please help!

Hi

i'm not a great help sorry but thought i'd reply anyway, i havn't started frankie on potty yet but i'm dreading it( he's 17months) if i was you i'd get whoever minds him when you go out in the day to get on side with what your doing, maybe some sort of reward, 3 weeks doesn't sound like a long time to be doing it he's doing well if he's doing it sometines and you sound like your doing thre right thing, surely your parents will understand what your trying to do they did it with you once upon a time keep persevering he's still adjusting to it all but he's getting there i wouldn't stop and re start when you move stick with it and get the others on side to help as they need consistency. Again i'm sorry i'm not much help
