What an insult

I am absolutely fuuuuuuuuuuming!

I got a letter from the CSA about my ex partner having to apy £10.00 a fortnight for Child maintenece.
£10.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A FORNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that how much they think it is to raise a child! This goverment are such a joke. Its bad enough hes gotten away with all the things he has put me through and now they want him to pay a mingy little tenner every two weeks, my daughter is almost 4 and hes never offered a penny since she was born. All hes done is cause problems for me and always gets away with it! Im not going to go list out everything that hes done to me but let put it this way i had to move house as i didnt feel safe where i was! and he caused criminal damage it wnt to court and they found him NOT GUILTY! eve though my daughter was there and saw it all happen, but because shes young her say didnt count. The court believed that i had actually made it up (on the day of my daughters birthday party and being pregnant at the time!! ofcourse i had the time and immaturity to do that ) I mean seriously its becoming a joke.

I rang up the CSA and told them to close the case as i dont want anything from him. I am so mad. Its not even like hes giving it out of love, its being forced out of his money. and the joke of it is... when he was working the CSA said he didnt have to pay a penny! and now hes on benefits their taking money off it?! Its such a joke. he has no contact with us, so he can stick his money. How much do you think ive paid out int he last 4 years to raise my daughter!!! it certainly wasnt £10.00 a fortnight!!!!

Its not fair that men can get away with this kind of stuff, after everything he has put us through his parental rights should be taken away from him.

AGRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

sorry for the rant girls but i feel the goverment is just laughing in my face. i am not happy. and the worst thing is there is nothing that i can do about it!!!

Is he only paying

£5 per week cos he is unemployed as I know that this is the most they will take off someone's benefits for Child Support?

I really think you shouldn't tell CSA to shove it because

I never even pursued my ex as he has never had a real job in his life and I thought wtf is the point in the hassle for £5 a week BUT after many many years passed I regretted it cos when Jamie was turning 14 I started thinking how many £5 notes that I could have been putting in a bank for him for all them years - £20 - £25 a month. £260 a year etc and I wished I had done it.
The other reason is if you accept the paltry amount just now and he ever takes on employment then it's about 20 % of what they earn or something like that so please reconsider and don't be regretting it in 10 years like I do.

Well...

My daughter is nearly 4 and he has been working since she was born up untill only recently and the CSA never made him pay a penny. He must have lied about not working and they obviously neve chased it up. As far as im concerned i dont want his money. It would be diffrent if he was offering it out of love but he isnt and he never has. He never gave us a penny even though he was working, instead he spent all his money on drugs. All he has done is cause us grief, so i would rather him out of our lives as we are much safer and happier that way. I know all this little fiver a weeks is going to do is give him more reason to try and contact us. Ive had to move home as i was in fear of our safety. If i ever changed my mind in the future i could always apply for them to collect child maintenece for me. But i dont think i will. I think its a disgrace in my opinion. If he wanted to give towards his childs future he would have done so a long time ago, and if he ever offered in future then he can have her bank account details and do it himself. That the way i see it.

Thanks

girls for the replies. Theres not much anyone can do to make this goverment realise what they are doing. They are too busy these days thinkin of the next big idea to get money off us all to think about whats really going on in the world. Im so mad i. It really does feel like they are just laughing in my face. They all say oh if you suffer from domestic abuse you should report it, what for??? they dont believe you anyway! and then we have to deal with all this s&*t. My ex is laughing to him all that is is a pack of cigerettes. its nothing. a fiver a week is an absolute JOKE if you ask me. I dont even know what to say anymore im just so annoyed. anyway i dont even want his money. im doing perfectly well without him infact better! AGRHHH.

Hey hun,

i know what you mean about the csa, my step-sisters ex is paying £5 a month to her for her 6 year old! and thats only cos he is claiming, and now that runs out after 6 months, and if he gets a job, he will vanish again so no money for emma! Its a bloody joke

I am so sorry hunni!

I remember your posts when all the court stuff was happening and how much it affected you!
Cant believe what a mess this goverment is, and they wonder why everyone is loosing faith.

I cant really say much else, apart from im sorry.

Sorry hunny, I'm going to have to make it quick as I'm about to nip out to pick my daughter up from my mums. But I didn't want to just read and run.
That is absolutly disgraceful. I'm fuming for you so I can't even begin to imagine how mad you are!!
The governement need a big kick up the backside! So does your ex by the sound of it! Men these days are w*****s!!!
I don't really know what to say to make you feel better! So I'm sending big hugs ((((hugs)))

Sorry I have to dash. Will try and reply properly when I get back!

Love and hugs
Kirst, Daisy (3) and 36 week yellow bump.xxx
