Tummy time for lo

Hiya, just a quick one......I've been reading up on other's routines etc & didn't realise how important tummy time was. We lay Thomas on his tummy every now & then & he seems to like it, but I have read that it's good to do every day. Some ideas I have come across are...

lay yourself down on your back with legs in the air & place bubs on legs
place bubs on an exercise ball & gently sway from side to side
place bubs on the edge of the bed/sofa with you at his/her face.

How much tummy time does your bubs have?

Well my baby is 4 months 2day.
She doesn't vey often go on her tummy either!
I do put her down on her front on the bed when dressing her sumtimes or like Lucy, when talcing on drying her.
She does hold her head up quite well but gets very frustrated on her front.
She has reflux so feeds often n I have 2 have her in an upright position after feeds so she likes it in he bouncy chair or propped up with cushions or in the bumbo!
She has a big bald patch on back of her head, not suprising as she is lean't on it nearly always!!!!
My 4 yr old didn't like it on her front intil she could roll around herself which was round 7 months I rek.

Megan spends quite a bit of time on her tummy, every time we play i make sure she goes on her tummy, at one point she only lasted about a minute if we were lucky. she also goes on her tummy in the bath which is quite funny as she moves her legs like a frog makes me giggle.

She gets fed up after about 10 mins, and then she just rolls herself over , takes her a few tries though.

Not much...I dont put her on her stomach that often, i may do it quickly to rub talc into her after a bath but its litrally seconds... ive tried placing her on her play mat but she lasts 3mins and starts crying, ive placed toys infront of her to make it more fun but she just wants to be proped up looking around or standing (i know its bad as she is only 4months) but she loves standing up on my legs, she gets really excited about it? lol

If he loves being on his stomach i would give him 5mins or so a day its good as it gets them ready for crawling etc.

Hope this helps

Archie hates being on his front. He too only lasts minutes!! I have a timing problem tho as to whens the best time to do it coz he eats so you cant do after it then, then he sleeps so cant do it then, so when is the best time too?! I really should do it more as his head is flatter one side. He use to sleep for a couple of hours on my chest when he was younger but has stopped liking this now!

euan has stopped sleeping on my chest now too!! I'm so gutted cos i used to love it when we snuggled up like this in front of the tv....he's much happier lying on his own now!

i try and get him on his tummy once a day, but have to admit i sometimes forget tbh he's not a massive fan, which sounds normal reading everyone elses posts!

has a really fla head too, it feels really strange lol. Hes has a feed at 8am, then plays whle I get ready, then naps at about 10am, so I'm gonna try it between 11am & 12 noon, just before his midday feed.
