8 month check?

Was just flicking through that NHS book they give you and noticed it mentions an 8 month developmental check. I never got a letter or anything and didn't know about it before so Kaitlyn hasn't had one and now I'm worried she should have? Has everyone else had one and if so did they write to you or am I a bad mummy for not realising I needed to book it?

Love and hugs,
Clare xxx

Hmmm

We haven't had one either hun and Isla is 11 months now!! I've wondered about this too, but thought maybe it was there incase people weren't going to clinic very often to get weighed etc (which we are) so I assumed they thought we didn't need one cos of that, but I might well mention it next time we go!!

If you hear anything else be interested to hear. Hope you are both well xxx

Your not a bad mummy!!!
Apparently, the 8 week check can happen any time between 6 and 10 months!!!]
I had a call from the health visitor when Lydia was 9 months to see if they could come that morning!!
Some of my NCT group have been told that they will get theirs late because they are running behind!! My HV said that they wait until 9 months because if they do the checks earlier, then they have to do more return visits!!!
If your worried, give them a call!!!

Love
Janice and Lydia,
xxx.
