How did labour start off for you?!?

Hey girls just wondering how your labour started off as it's been a while since I had my daughter and I had her at 24 weeks so I didn't have many normal signs of labour really lol I don't know what I'm looking for to be honest
I feel a bit strange tonight so was going to see what you ladies had and compare my symptoms lol
I know a question like this should be on expecting but I know more of you plus you girls have been through it and most of expecting are on their first baby so wouldn't know!

Thanks in advance

Love Kirst, Daisy and 36+2 Yellow bump that has suddenly dropped and feels weird?!

Thanks girlies

I don't think I'm in labour yet but I do think I'm very close! My bump seems to of got huge and it's really low down.
Lucy I'm not in pain as such. I just ache all over and have a bit of back ache. At 33 weeks I had period pains and a show and they said it was false labour which could carry on right up until my due date when I actually do give birth! I feel really crappy and uncomfortable. Can't really describe it.
Daisy woke up last night and said she was dreaming about me having the baby and she's being really clingy! So maybe she can sense it?

From what you lot have desribed, I reckon I'm really close!

I'll keep you posted!
Thanks again!

Labour

Hi there,

Well firstly, my little girl Emily did not want to come out!! I had slight complications in that my BP was high and the blood pressure in the cord was high so they decide to induce me about 40+4 days.... I was induced on a Monday afternoon, then nothing - long story but basically I was induced 3 times then early Wednesday morning I felt very periody pains and generally grotty, the nurse came into my room to see how I was and I instantly three up and at the same time my waters broke - about 5 minutes later I started getting contractions and I instantly knew that it was contractions, people say you will know the difference and I did. So I started labour approx 6.30am that morning and Emily arrived at 20.35pm that evening. Not straight forward but to be honest the aprenhension of labour and wondering about it was far far worse that actually going through it - plus you don't care that your legs are in the air, wide apart and the windows are open

Good Luck and keep us posted on progress!

Natalie & Emily (now 7 months)! xxx

A week before Rosie was born i was feeling alot more havier, slight period pains, felt as if i dropped and stretching- i can remember telling MW about it and she said its baby getting into position... the following Tuesday i woke up to my waters leaking and stronger period pains which were fine just a bit uncomfy every 10mins or so but paracetimol helped went to delivery suite to be checked out and they booked me in for an introduction as i wasnt actually in labour but that day i went on the whole day like this i went out shopping, out for a meal lol went to bed feeling fine but woke wednesday morning with more periods pains a little stronger but managable but coming every 3mins so i was in labour by this time she came wednesday 3rd june at 9.41PM.

How do you feel?pains?... i would keep an eye on it and if you dont feel any better i would ring delivery suite just encase as seeing this is ur 2nd ur most likley to have a quicker labour.

how exciting!!!

Lucy & Rosie (4months )

Hi hun,

I felt a bit off and had crampy pains from the saturday, Kaitlyn was born at 3.19am on the following tuesday. Was getting irregular but proper (if you know what I mean!) contractions from when I got up on the monday morning and lost some of my show when I went to the loo first thing, contractions got more frequent and regular late in the afternoon and I lost the rest of my show at about 6pm. Contractions kept up through the evening but still not regular enough to go in so decided to try and get some sleep at about 11pm, was just getting into bed when my waters went! Was a definite popping sensation when they went and I headed to hospital then. Hope that helps a bit, good luck hun it's so exciting! Keep us informed,

loadsa love,
Clare xxx

Forgot to say....

my bump dropped massively on the saturday, looked and felt like she was by my knees! Hope something's happening for you hun,

love, Clare xxx

Heya

Not gonna be much help, but wanted to reply to your post. My labour started with my waters breaking when I went for a wee, was very strange, I thought I'd wet myself at first!! and when i say they broke, it was more like a gushing! lol. Didn't have any contractions or anything before hand, but once my waters broke, i started to get irregular contractions, some every 5 mins, some every half an hour. This was the friday night, and as my contractions didn't get regular at any point (much to my dismay!) I had to be induced on the Sunday morning. Was so tired after not getting any sleep for 48 hours, but by Sunday evening I had my little bundle of joy was a strange way to start labour, but there you go, like they say, no one labour is the same!

Sending you lots of labour dust honey, hopefully the dropping means your yellow bump is on it's way!

Lots of love,

Debra and 5 month old Thomas xxxx
