Is my daughter weird or does your lo do this too?

Hi,

Emily has a cuddle bunnie which is a soft bunny rabbit with a soft cloth attached to it. She goes to bed every night with this now and she loves having the whole thing over her face - it seems to calm her / comfort her. I don't mind this as last night she preferred cuddle bunny to a dummy which is great but I am sure she gets hot with this thing on her face and you move it off in the night and she pops it back on??

Also, when I change her nappy and her trousers or top are by her she grabs these and pops them over her face, its like a peekaboo but she loves being covered......

Does anyone else's little one do this - its really cute!

Heh!!

Awww bless her, Rosie does this with her Mr.Frog toy and muslin cloths...she grabs them and rubs them in her face. Sometimes when i walk out the room she will put it on her face and start breathing heavy so i run in and i take it off her face thinking she cant breath and she gives me a huge smile! Litte ...

It is a comfort thing, strange though isnt it. Apparently when my brother was a baby my mum and dad had to put there whole hand over his face and he would eventually go to sleep? LOL.

Hope u and Emily are well

Dylan too ...

He has a similar bear comforter and as soon as he started to fall asleep on his own he started putting in on his head. I too was worried to start with but if i move it he puts in back on so i leave well alone now lol

Em & Dylan 7 months today x x

Thanks girls...

sounds like she is normal then as it seems alot of our little ones do it...

right now Emily is sleeping, upside in her cot, had to pop a blanket on her legs and yes, cuddle bunny is over her face!!!

xxxx

Daisy has a toy dog, it's like a bean baby thing and she loves it. She always sleeps with it on her head lol
When she was little, about Emilys age, she used to pull the blankets over her head and worry me sick. But it was the only way she'd sleep!

Love Kirst, Daisy (3) and 36+4 yellow bump.x

Yes!

Yes!! My daughter is also called Emily and if she is tired and doesnt have anything else at hand she has even been known to takeoff her sock and cover her face with it! Lol!

yep. oliver has a rabbit comforter thing and he has always put this on his face given half the chance. i used to take it off, but he wouldnt sleep without it, so i soon learnt to leave well alone.

i remember when we were on holiday last year in majorca, he was 7 months old, and we would be walking about with the pushchair and people would be pointing and laughing and when i looked, there he was fast asleep with his rabbit on his head. on holiday was the only time that i have ever let him have it away from his bed as generally im too scared of losing it! even now if he wakes in the night and he cant find the rabbit, he goes crackers!

emilie is exactly the same but with a muslin square. as these are bigger, i have cut one up into 4 pieces and she takes one to bed with her every time she goes.

funny little rugrats

love kelly, oliver and emilie

Harry and tommy...

Both did/do this. Harry has a bunny as well and he is always pulling the ears over his face and has done since he was small, i had to pull it down everytime and even took it off him i was so worried but he wouldn't sleep without it.

And Tommy does it with his snuggle rug toy/blanket/trousers...in fact anything he can find lol.
he then likes to peek out from underneath. Cute but Scary

Yes!

Kaitlyn's always done this and it's why I ended up using sleeping bags for her cos she always pulled the blanket over her face, used to worry me sick! She has a bear one of those comforter things and does exactly the same with it, I've stopped worrying about it now and she sleeps like that most nights. You're right it is deeply cute!

Love and hugs,
Clare and Kaitlyn (11 months) xxx

Thomas has a bear one too

& likes it over his face. I try to peel it back once he's falled asleep, just so it's not over his nose. It does help him to fall asleep when I place it down the side of his face & over one eye, he looks so cute.

Must be like when we don't want to wake up & pull the duvet over us lol

xx
