How wierd!

I posted the other day about Kaitlyn not having had her 8 month check then this morning a letter has arrived saying that due to current demands on the health visitor service 8 month checks have been suspended! It gives a list of things they should be able to do, sit unaided, grasp objects, pass toys from hand to hand, stand supported (bear weight) and babbling sounds, ma ma, da da, ba ba etc. Know there were some others on here who haven't had the check either so thought I'd post what they look for in case it puts anyone's mind at rest.

Love and hugs,

8 month check

Hi there,

Saw your post the other day - Emily is coming up to 8 months but we have no letter - I will ask the HV at the baby clinic next week (if I remember) and see what she says.

Thanks
Natalie

Haha!!

How funny! thanks for the update Clare cos it really got me wondering after you posted about it. Is that the full list - did it say anything about eating?

Hey nikki,

how are you and Isla hun? Yep that was the full list, nothing about food whatsoever so guess we're on our own with that one! Kaitlyn's being a bit of a nightmare with feeding actually, will eat anything as long as it's mine or Sean's but plays up to eat her own meals, very frustrating. Hope things are better with you,

love and hugs,
Clare and Kaitlyn xxxx

Same!

Meals are generally a nightmare here too!! feel like we are wasting so much food! turns her head away and tantrums (even stuff I KNOW she likes, and KNOW she's hungry) and finger foods just get thrown on the floor, then she straight away looks at me almost as if to see what I say.......it's not good.....its worse when we are out cos its hard enough without a nosey audience!!

Temperament generally better though (touch wood) so hoping our teeth grief has gone for a little while now.
Hugs to you and Kaitlyn xxxx
