Positional talipes

Hey hope everyone is well. Has anyone had a baby that's had positional talipes?

Lily has it (right foot) and I was just wondering how long it takes to correct. I have to do some exercises/massages on her foot every nappy change.

Also Lily has to have an x ray on her right leg on Monday because her leg seems to twist the wrong way, my gp and midwife said there is defo an abnormality. The pediatrician and physiotherapist didn't even notice her leg was different. Just hoping everything is okay, won't get the results for 3 weeks though.

Love Toni, Rhys (17months) and Lily (8 days) x x x

Hello

Congratulations on the birth of lily. Ben was born with positional talipes of the left foot, it was missed by the pediatrition (not sure how). Physio gave us exercises and showed us how to massage the foot. By the time he was 2 months old it had gone back into position and he has had no problems with it since. It is from the position they are in inside you. Keep up with the xercises and all will be fine.

If you want any more help and advice on it please ask and i will try to help, i know how scarey it was when we first had to start the physio but it was worth it.

Hiya,
I think this is wot my mates liitle one had at birth. Is it when they r lay in a certain position throughout pregnancy hence the position of feet?
Well, she hada a very odd shaped and inward facing foot that looked very odd, as if it would hurt her. They doctors said it wouldn't bother her or hurt n adviced rubbing exercises daily. After a few weeks n the massaging it was fine.
She is now 5 and a healthy child. It didn't upset her development in any way and was corrected very quickly.
Hope the x-ray goes well and they give u sum answers.
All the best. mummyand2. xx
