Peanut butter

Morning ladies,

I'm a bit confused. I'm running out of idea's for sandwiches for Isla and she seems to climb all over me if I'm ever eating peanut butter on toast around her.

I've been googling it and reading up and seem to be finding conflicting advice on this. I'm not aware of any food allergies in the family, and the only other allergy type thing is that I get hay fever.

What are your thoughts, when did everyone elses LO's start having it?

Love N & Isla (11months) xx

Thanks girls

I read your replies and gave her some in little sandwiches for lunch and she bloomin LOVED it!!

I've been watching her like a hawk ever since mind you and so far so good, so will keep that on the list!!

Thanks again,
Love N & yummy-in-her-tummy Isla! xx

You could try

cashew nut butter as i think (not too sure) it's only peanuts they shouldn't have before they are 12 months... not sure what difference the next month makes but if you are cautious then try that instead you can get it in holland and barretts and big supermarkets... also watch for the salt and sugar in peanut butters like sun pat as they are really high... i spend too much time reading labels, lol

Hi nikki

I let my daughter have peanut butter ( the smooth type ) probably around the age Isla is now I remember thinking i'd try and hold off until her 1st birthday but she took such an interest in it I gave in a couple weeks before.
She loves it!
We have no nut allergies in the family ( I to suffer when the pollen count is high and have asthma ) but my little girl has just turned two so has been eating smooth peanut for the past year now & we have had no problems!

Yum yum!!!
