Am i weaning rite?

A silly question i know but rosie is 19weeks old now and since 17 n half weeks ive tried her on baby rice at her 11am feed once shes finished the bottle (as advised by the HV), well sometimes she doesnt always finish the bottle so i stopped given the baby rice for a few days...then i spoke with cow & gate and they said its ok to try her if she wont take anymore of her bottle, so now ive tried her on apple and pear puree which she likes, she takes a 1 to 2 spoonfulls at her 3.30pm feed.

Is it really important to stick to that time (3.30pm) as her spoon feed time because today she decided to have one bottle at 2pm and one at 5pm so i fed her the apple and pear after her bottle on the 2pm feed?... i think im being over paranoid with this weaning but im worried im going to mess it up and over feed or give her upset stomach or something?

Hey

Megans feedtimes change depending on what time she gets up as its normally between 7am and 8am.

When the routine goes like we were used to, she had baby rice at 11am all the time, but her later one changes all the time.
I dont give her anything after 7pm even if she has missed the afternoon feed for some reason.

Rosie wasnt that far off 3.30 so she will be fine, if she didnt want it she wouldnt of eaten it. Megan sometimes wont finish her bottle but will eat the baby rice, or sometimes she will finish her bottle and not want her solids.

Try and stick to around the same time each day, more for the routine than anything, and then her stomach isnt too overloaded for bedtime.

This weaning thing can get confusing, so many things change from one day to the next.

Hope your both ok

Nat and Megan xxxx
