Feeling down

Hey hope everyone is well and congratulations to all you new mummy's.

I feel really down atm, I'm just worried about Lily. The physiotherapist came to my house today and she seemed happy with Lily's positional talipes and I no longer need to do the exercises on her foot (although it won't do any harm to carry on so I'm going to for a bit longer).

Well Lily had an x ray on her leg Monday and I'm just waiting for the results but today the physiotherapist said she wants Lily to have an x ray on her hips to because they could be part of the problem too. On top of that Lily has torticollis (wry neck) so I have more exercises to do with her (she screams the place down when I do them), its just one thing after another.

I'm terrified what else they are gonna find wrong, everything so far is correctable but I just feel sorry for poor Lily. I just don't know what to do...

Sorry everyone just had to let that out

Hey toni

No wonder you feel down, poor little Lily. I found being a new mum hard enough but having extra things to worry about must be hard. At least you have a good physio who sounds like she's on the ball. Good news about the talipes too hey? When Sam was born they wanted to check his hips as I had clicky hips when I was born (not sure if this is what they are suspecting in Lily). Sam had an ultrasound and all was well. My mum said that all they did with me was recommend that she put 2 terry nappies on to give it extra support (I looked a right nelly with my skinny little legs!) but it did the trick.

Anyhow, i'm waffling as always. Try not to worry too much, maybe it's all to do with the position she favoured in your tummy and like you say it's all correctable.

How's Rhys finding being a big bro?

Take care

Hey rach

Yeah Lily's physiotherapist is great, she is lovely. With Lily's leg there is a strange bone (growth?) near her knee but it also externally rotates so she was wondering if that is a hip problem rather than a leg problem.

It looks like Lily has been squashed inside me and got herself in an awkward position. Finger's crossed this x ray comes back ok.

Rhys is doing well, keeps giving Lily the odd kiss now and again, other than that he doesn't really bother. He has been a bit more clingy though lol.
