Quick question - feeing

hiya, wonder if anybody could give me a bit of advice, or even tell me if i'm thinking this is a problem when it's not really...

my little girl is 11months, she was 3 months early, so she's 8 months corrected...

She's been great at feeding after we started to ween her onto solids, lately she's had a bit of a cold and i think poor wee sole is teething, but this week, she's is fine at breakfast and lunch, has a good size meal at both and about 5 ounces of milk, she has a 7oz bottle when she wakes up, breaky at 9.30(ish), lunch at 1ish, she has a nap for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but when it comes to tea time she's been really fussy, she'll have maybe half a dozen spoonfulls, then want her bottle, i end up giving her yoghurt, she'd eat that any time of the day, but don't want her to realise if she says no to food at tea then she automatically gets a yoghurt... She also has a 60z-7oz bottle of goodnight milk at 7pm before bed... Do you think i'm getting worried for nothing, i'd hate to think she's going hungry..

I'm a first time mum, so not sure about these kind of things...

Thanks a lot for your help.... Appreciate any advice...

xxxxx

Hey

Hi,
Isla is 11 months and this is very similar to what we are doing aswell. Also, a couple of weeks ago (I even put a post up on here) our mealtimes totally went haywire, and she seemed to be refusing just about everything I gave her, tantruming in her high chair, throwing any finger food on the floor etc etc etc, but being fine with bottles and yoghurts!!!
(This also coincided with some really aggressive teething (even ended up at the docs for it)).

I found, it went wrong for about a week or so, during that time I tried to do a mixture of giving her a yoghurt as I was worried about her going hungry (like you), but sometimes not bothering with the yoghurt to try and get her to realise that kicking off was not a guaranteed yoghurt! (figuring her bedtime bottle was only a couple of hours away so she wouln't go that hungry for long).

However, after a week, suddenly everything seemed to go back to normal - well, I say normal, she's still not keen on lumps really as well as she was before all this, but she's definitely back on track.

So - sorry for the waffly long answer - I realise I've not offered much advice, but wanted to say we were in exactly the same boat and it did pass. I think when teething is at it's peak then can just go a bit 'off' their food. If she starts to show any signs of dehydration or lethargy then might be worth mentioning to HV but if she's like Isla and was still full of energy even with what I would have considered to be hardly anything inside her, then all probably fine.

Try not to worry too much (easy to say!), good luck
Love N & Isla (11 months) xx
