Lump in thigh after 2nd jabs nearly 1 month ago

Anyone elses LO had this & if so, did it disappear? I have read allsorts from it being normal to it being a bad reaction to the "aluminium" in the injection/needle (confused). HV said 2 weeks ago that it was quite normal & said it should go, but it's been a while now - in fact it is a month ago.

Not my los

but a morphine injection I got in labour once took 6 - 8 weeks to go and it was a nagging pain and tenderness that I was always aware of, not just when bumped iykwim.
Poor Thomas. Hope it's not giving him any probs other than being there. I'm sure it'll go away soon x

Archie too

I noticed yesterday he still has his from 3 weeks ago. If its still there when he has his next lot next week Im going to ask the Nurse about it. It doesnt seem to bother him tho.

My son

Dominic had this after injections!! He had particularly chubby thighs and the nurse said that it was due to the injection not going deep enough! With his next injections she used a longer needle and we had no problems.
The lump did take ages to go but eventually just disappeared.

I would ensure you mention it before the next lot of immunisations so they can try to avoid it happening again.

If it gets bigger or starts weeping or looks very inflamed then go to the doctor incase it has become infected, other than that i wouldn't worry.

Love Tracey xxxx

Thanks ladies

Thomas has got really chunky thighs & he's got his next set of jabs on 28th Oct - ooh a week today, I think that's the jabs where the do 2 in one leg & one in another. I will definatley question it next week. It doesn't seem to be causing him any pain.

Cheers again

Archie too
