Daisy is in hospital

hey ladies just a quick post, Daisy is in hospital as some of you will know. She started off with a sore throat and got conjunctivitis. Then she suddenly fell quite ill and was drowsy, limp and really pale. We rushed her in and by this time she was covered in a purpley rash and was complaining of a headache. They took her bloods and put her on a IV fluids. They then did a CT scan which was awful. She was sedated for a lumbar puncture cos she wouldn't keep still, as they thought it was bacterial meningitis (the serious one) but tests came back last night and they think it's viral meningitis. She seems alot better this morning and if her bloods come back okay this afternoon then she will be allowed home!

They said I have to keep her seperate from Jack as he is only tiny and not had immunisations obv.. How dangerous is viral meningitis to a newborn? I'm a little worried now cos he's had some contact with her before she was in hospital. we didn't know Daisy was seriously ill so we didn't think there was much cause for concern.

Thanks for all your lovely messages on FB and on here. It really means so so much to me. I'm so fortunate to have such a lovely bunch of friends.
Hope everyone is well and I promise to come on here and make more of an effort once Daisy is home and on the mend.

Love to all yummy mummies and beautiful babba's
