So proud of my little girl

Hi Girls,

Well I have been at work 2 days now, yesterday was quite emotional with leaving Emily with the new childminder and I cried - wuss!! She got on so well though and she was really really good and ate well and slept and played with the other children and their dog! When I picked her up she was smiling and playing and when I said hello Emily she squealed in excitement!

Got her home and Mark fed her the bedtime milk and we discovered a little tooth at the bottom just poking up through the gums. I was so pleased I cried, with the emotion of going back to work etc....

So that was really good and today when we dropped Emily off she was really excited to be there and when I called the Childminder at lunch time she said, does Emily ever cry?? She has been playing, eating loads and generally being a happy baby!

I am off work tomorrow so she will be back with me so it will be interesting to see how we get on. I miss her terribly. You should see my desk, I have 6 pictures of Emily on my desk

Cannot get onto FB during work so thought I would post a little message on here.......

Hope you are all well!

Lots of Love
Natalie & Emily xxxxx

Hi Natalie

I'm glad that Emily's getting on well at her childminders - I read your other post about the nursery so you must be soooo relieved.

I'm returning to work in 2 wks and leaving Olivia with a childminder so your post is quite encouraging. I'm a bit worried about leaving her but I'm sure she'll be fine. I think its just a combination of leaving her with someone I dont really know, returning to work after over a year and starting a new job (I was in my last one for 11 yrs but couldnt return after maternity!) Its all a bit daunting!!

Anyway, well done Emily ... and you!

love Shelley & Olivia (nearly 13 months) xx

Hey!

Aww this is so lovely! I am really happy for you that everything went well for Emily and that you can relax knowing Emily is perfectly sound at the childminders! Really nice of her to contact you aswell

Hope the rest of the week goes well for both of u

Aww

So pleased to hear Emily is doing so well, that's great news and such a relief for you I'm sure!

Enjoy your time off with her tomorrow.

The best part

about working is picking them up again!
Jude used to see me and run so fast he'd fall over and crawl the rest of the way like speedy gonzalez. Last year when I went back for the short time before having Francis I went to pick Charlie up and he just started squealing (no, not screaming like he hated me ) but just squealing with excitement cos he didn't know what else to do with his feelings.
You feel like the most popular person in the world

Enjoy your day together tomorrow. I'm back at work

Ahhhh!

Lovely news hun, soooooo glad she's getting on well there, what a spot on decision you made to move her (good old mummy's intuition!).

It sounds perfect, and like you've got the balance sorted, I'm using you as inspiration in a couple of weeks when I make the jump
These sorts of stories make me worry less though (keep 'em coming!! hehe)

Have a lovely day tomorrow

Hey!

Hi there,

Yep all good, I wont say my first day at work was easy, as I was thinking about Emily constantly but the childminder called me in the morning to say that Emily was asleep and all was well.

You will be fine, just get over the first day and it will all be good!

Lots of Love
Natalie
