mia is home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ladies,

thank you all sooooooooo much for your kind messages, you are all so amazing!

what a mad couple of days its been,

Mia has been unwell from wednesday, with high temp, off her food and very sleepy all the time, anyways, thursday i noticed a circle of spots on her leg and her temp was still up so went to the doctors, they said it was prob a virus and the spots looked like a pinch!!!!! idiots!

so, friday she got worse and was on the sofa asleep all day and by 4pm, her temp was 40.2 degrees and i could hardly rouse her, and she had more spots on her arms, legs and back. so off to the doctors, they took one look at her and called a amublance. At this point mia was all floppy in my arms and her eyes were rolling everywhere.

she had needles and drips everywhere and even had medication up her bottom
ive never seen her this ill and it was so hard, i was on my own too and it was so difficult to be strong when all i wanted to do was cuddle her and cry.

its all a bit of a blur from here on as i havent slept for 3 days and things happened so quickly, but she was very unwell friday and sat and they were treating the case as serious.

the results came back with viral meningitis, i have no idea where she could have got this from.

anyway, im waffling. we are home now she is very weak as she hasnt ate a thing since friday, but is going to be fine!
i am so exhasuted it feels like a bad dream, she has been so so brave, my little warrior!

Not been online for a few days due to FIL being in hospital, had no idea Mia had been so unwell! Sounds like a very scary few days, am so so glad to read that she is on then mend now

Mia's home and on the mend, can't imagine how awful it must've been you must feel like you've been hit by a bus. Sounds like you both need feeding up and lots of rest but at least you're home now and on the right track. Hope you have someone to look after you, think things like this are almost as hard on us as the babies and you need to keep your strength up. Loads of love to you both, hope it's not long before she's completely bounced back and this all feels like a bad dream.
