having a bad few days

Hey girls, I hope you are all well.

I dont know whats wrong with me today, I cant stop crying!!

Ive just had a row with the OH. We need to go shopping and have ZERO food in the house, I am starving and cant go too shops coz 1: its chucking it down and 2: Archie is finally asleep!! Hes only working up the road (hes normally in London) so I asked him if there was any chance he could run me round a sandwich, 'NO Ive got a window half out, I'll send Matt (workmate)' I said I didnt want him to come coz I look a right state coz I cant stop crying and I dont want him to see me like this! Now hes got the hump coz Im expecting him to drop everything and just come round.

Also, I dont know whats wrong with him but Archie is being a right horror lately, I dont know what to do with him, he didnt sleep at all yest and I couldnt settle him, Ive just finally got him to go to sleep now but it was a battle. I am mentaly and physically exhausted!! People dont understand, because Im not working my life is suppose to be simple and easy, I dont think this weather is helping, I cant go out and get so fed up being indoors.

Ive also got a stonking headache now where Ive been crying so much!

Im sorry for the rant guys, I dont have anyone else to vent too!!

Take Care all

Hey

Hi Adele,

I meant to try and reply to this the other day and time just ran away from me!! I see you are feeling better now which is good, but just wanted to add you are SO not alone, think we all have days like this (even if some don't like to admit!).

Thinking about it, we are not dissimilar to our babies are we?! you were probably feeling a bit more rubbish cos you were hugry = crying, you were fed up cos of the weather and being stuck indoors = cabin fever! plus, I get fed up when the cupboards are bare (and I'm a lazy mare who doesn't even go to the supermarket anymore and orders it all online, and I can't even be bothered to sit and do that sometimes!!) cos psychologically I think it just weighs on your mind it's another flipping job to do!!!

It's not easy being home with a baby, anyone who refers to me having been off so long taking it easy when I go back to work will get a pooey nappy chucked them!!

Hugs to you,
Love N & Isla (1) xx

Thanx guys

I am feeling a lot better now. We have been shopping so Im not going to starve in the near future. Matt was ok when he dropped my sarnie off, I think he could see by the state of me that Ive been crying!! Archie has just had a bottle and is now in bed asleep. I have a belly full of food, so we're all happy!

Im hoping to have a better day tomorrow! Im taking him to clinic to be weighed so Im going to speak too the HV about him.

Thanx again girls, your all starts xx

Oh sorry 2 here ur feelin low at the mo Adele.
Motherhood isnt that easy n people dont understand how hard it is sumtimes.
Im sure its just a blip.
Hope ur feelin better soon n u n Matt have made up! MEN!!!!!
Take care of urself hun. muummyand2.xx

Big hugs honey!!!

The weather here is horrible, if its not raining and hailing, the wind is soooo fierce the pushchair moves on its own and its not a light thing, so have now took to staying in.
Have you got any friends that come and see you, maybe have an indoor picnic? might sound strange but i was meant to meet my friend yesterday, but the weather was evil i didnt go but so fed up at the moment, so she came round, soaking bless her, and we sat and drank warm coffee, had megan on the floor with us playing and ate sitting on the floor.

Sorry Archie is being a horror too, according to an email i got from babycentre at this stage, babies are changing again in terms of learning new things and taking things in hence the lack of sleep, megan fights sleep if she thinks she is missing out, also the teeth are starting now, its evil we have had so many bad days.

People seem to think cos im not at work i have it easy too but if only they knew.

Really hope things get better for you soon

Nat and Megan xxx

Hi Hun,

It pants weather here aswell! When the rain settles try and get out for a 10min walk? Hard aswell with a dog who also needs walking who wont pee in my garden

I think sometimes the littles ones test us to see how much we can handle! I was a wreck last week aswell not knowing what was up but now ive put it down to teething!
She still has her days but i think when you've had a few days of it, it does really get you down espically if your stuck in.

Sometimes the men dont understand as they have to "work" and we "stay at home" but they dont realise how much work a baby is because they arnt on there own with them 24/7! When Matt comes home tonight make sure you get a well deserved break!

Wish we lived closer

Aww hon

big hugs coming your way. I've had days like this, it's rubbish but it will pass and you'll feel better. I don't know if this is the case with you but since having Sam when my periods came back everything about them was worse, longer, heavier and the PMT is horrendous, makes me feel incredibly sad for a few days. Everyone who hasn't had a baby (myself included before Sam) think being off with a baby all day is a doss but it so isn't especially when they decide napping is out of fashion so you literally cannot get a thing done! If it's any consolation I've got the most unbelievably greasy hair, a spot on my chin, yoghurt stains on my sloppy out of shape jogging pants (think Waynetta Slob - it's seriously not that far off!) and Dan's friend just popped round unexpectedly...great! And we also have no food in house and don't wanna go out in rain!

Hope you start to feel a bit better and can maybe relax in a nice bubble bath when Archie's in bed later?

Hey adele,

oh hun I sooo know how you feel! Me and OH have had a couple of similar rows just lately, they just don't seem to understand sometimes do they? Kaitlyn's also being a horror at the mo, was up all night with her last night finally went to bed at 7am! Don't know what's up with her either, could be teething but doesn't look like it to me, last night she kept going to sleep and then a few minutes later she'd be awake and grizzling again and nothing I did would settle her, that went on every 15 minutes or so all night long. We also have no food in the house and OH puts shopping at the bottom of his list of priorities and I can't face going out in this state either, haven't even bothered asking him to fetch me anything cos I know I'll get the same response as you. Wish I had some constructive advice but am hoping just knowing you're not the only one feeling like this might help a bit! Here anytime if you need a moan, hope Archie settles down and things start to pick up for you hun.

Lotsa love and big sympathetic hugs,
Clare and grumpy Kaitlyn xxxx

((((big hugs))))

& empathy coming your way. Some people just don't get it & most of the time it is the men! Thomas has days like that & all I hear is "oh it's his gums, oh he's teething" ok I get that but that doesn't help lol!!
Rach, you made me laugh as I too am sat in my "out of shape jog pants" but I'll change the yoghurt stains for penicillin lol.
I know this post isn't gonna help so i'll try frinding a good joke on Google........

New Dad

One day, shortly after the birth of their new baby, the mother had to go out to do some errands, so the proud father stayed home to watch his wonderful new son.

Soon after the mother left, the baby started to cry. The father did everything he could think of, but the baby just wouldn't stop crying. Finally, the dad got so worried he decided to take the infant to the doctor.

After the doctor listened to all the father had done to get the baby to stop crying, the doctor began to examine the baby's ears, chest and then down to the diaper area. When he opened the diaper, he found was
indeed full.

"Here's the problem," the doctor explained. "He just needs to be changed."

The perplexed father remarked, "But the diaper package specifically says it's good for up to 10 pounds!"

Soz was that really crap

I'll try another

I'm determined to make you smile

Things Not To Say During Childbirth....

-- Gosh, you're lucky. I sure wish men could experience the miracle of childbirth.

-- Do you think the baby will come before Monday Night Football starts?

-- I hope your ready. The Glamour Shot photographer will be here in fifteen minutes.

-- If you think this hurts, I should tell you about the time I twisted my ankle playing basketball.

-- That was the kids on the phone. Did you have anything planned for dinner?

-- When you lay on your back, you look like a python that swallowed a wild boar.

-- You don't need an epidural. Just relax and enjoy the moment.

-- This whole experience kind of reminds me of an episode from I Love Lucy.

-- Oops! Which cord was I supposed to cut?

-- Stop your swearing and just breathe.

-- Remember what we learned in Lamaze class! HEE HEE HOO HOO. You're not using the right words.

-- Your stomach still looks like there's another one in there.

Pregnancy Q and A

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?
A: No, 35 children is enough.

Q: I'm two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?
A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A: Childbirth.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she's borderline irrational.
A: So what's your question?

Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?
A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?
A: Right after you find out you're pregnant.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?
A: Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?
A: Yes, pregnancy.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?
A: Not if you change the baby's diaper very quickly.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A: When the kids are in college.
