Big fat fail! Poo! Thanks for all your fab advice tho girls. I got five minors which would've been ok but then I got 2 serious ones too, one being flippin reverse around a corner which he made me do on a narrow side street off a busy road and the line markings had all but been worn off. At one point when I was trying to do it a woman came up behind so he said just do what you think is right and I felt like saying not bloody reversing in here! Had to drive out and then tried again but botched it up and just lost it! Really gutted that I have to keep doing lessons and have to wait about 6 weeks for test, can't face going through it again...horrible! Was really hoping I'd have a car by xmas but highly unlikely now! Oh well, could be worse.

Oh bless you......
I am so sorry to hear your news, least you didn't run the lady over
Don't fret - just pick yourself up and try and again and go with a real blarzay (sp) attitude next time - you might be so wound up and nervous but if you go with the attitude oh well lets see what happens this time, you might get a good result - who knows.......
Hope you are okay and Sam is behaving himself!
Emily is good and she had me in stitches earlier today as I put her in her walker and she was like a wirling dirvish!!!!
Sending love and hugs

Hey!
Just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow! Let us know how you get on! I never tried rescue remedies or Kalms but I was told to have a goodnights sleep (hard when you have a baby I know!! ) Then get up nice and early, have some breakfast, go for a shower or a brisk walk to clear your head. (the oxygen will help your brain function better!) Then once on your test, listen to everything he says, if you don't understand anything just ask him to repeat it. Don't rush. Check your mirrors like every few seconds!! Especially when you're changing direction or slowing down. Wear comfortable footwear! Tie your hair up out of the way so the examminer can see your eyes checking your mirrors etc (sounds a bit daft, but that's what they told me!) Just stay calm and don't panic. It lasts 20 minutes ish and will be over before you know it! I passed my test when I was 5 months pregnant and I was an emotional wreck but I passed first time! Oh remember to indicate early at roundabouts because that's what I nearly failed on. And if he asks you to pull in when safe to do so, don't panic and pull in straight away, you can take aslong as you like!
Hope I've helped and not just babbled on!!
GOOD LUCK HUN!!!

Resue remedy
1st test i was a bag of nerves! my hands were pale white where i held the stearing wheel so tight the guy laughed and said u need to de-stress! I failed this one... then 2nd test i was recommended rescue remedy i took in when i woke up 4 drops then 4hrs before my test i took it again and then litrally before i went on my test so i was very calm lol it does work surprisingly! If your still not convinced then maybe try soaking in a bath of lavender bubble bath the evening before or burn lavender candles?
I used to suffer panick attacks and was taught to control myself before i get into a situation like sitting on a chair with hands and legs firmly on the chair and breath in and out and just concentrate on your body touching the chair... i think it makes u relax and take control of ur feelings? a bit extreame maybe for a test? worth a try i suppose?
GOODLUCK and let us know how u get on

you'll be fine
ok first...
the most important thing is to breathe slowly and evenly - breathe in for the count of 5 - right down into your tummy - and breathe out for the count of 7 or 8 - control and relax your breathing... you can't get an adrenaline rush if you don't give your body the oxygen to produce the chemicals. so... close your eyes, hands relaxed in your lap, let your shoulders down, and breathe ten relaxed breaths...
then, once you have relaxed your breathing start visualising the day of your test - every step - from the moment you wake up - feeling relaxed and in control. you do what you need to do in the day befre your test feeling calm and relaxed - then see yourself about to reach for the door handle of the car you will be driving. then see every step of driving and you see yourself being calm and in control.
also download the manual from www.emofree.com and use the acupressure tapping - worth it's weight in gold!
hugs elizabeth, siri (almost 10 months!) and unknown bean!! xxxx

I've never
tried any of these things like Kalms and I don't think it'd be a good idea trying them for the first time when taking your test.
At my test I thought 'right, I'll sit this one, see how I do, then I'll experiment with the Kalms etc for next time' I passed 1st time so didn't need to continue with my controlled experiment into rescue remedies.
I'd advise you to go see how you do. Everyone sh*ts it at their driving test, you probably won't know if your excessively nervous till you do it. You might be fine. Good Luck x
