Sam has a sore doodah

Actually he isn't at all bothered but it is red at the tip and looks like it might be a bit sore. Apparently he 'discovered' it for the first time in the bath last night and gave it a good tug (ouch!) so dunno if it's down to that. I was thinking nappy off time (bit hard now he's mobile!) and zinc and castor oil cream? Do any ladies with lil boys have any suggestions? I will check it tomorrow and take him to doc if needed but just wondered if there was anything else we could try. Are we supposed to be cleaning under the foreskin? For some reason I thought not but maybe we should? Aren't willies disgusting...glad I haven't got one!!

Dylan has ' discovered' his in the bath this week and is making us cringe. Have made sure his finger nails aren't sharp but other than that think we just need to leave him to it so to speak ....
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere not to try and clean under their foreskin as its not good to pull it back yuk i no he's my son but yuk lol.
I use zinc and castor evry night after his bath and would definately recommend it.

lol rach! yes, they are disgusting. have you yet experienced the joy of taking his nappy off and, how can i put this, finding that he has had a rush of blood to the area?! i nearly died of fright the first time i found such a situation in oliver's nappy! anyway.......

red willy. could it be a bit of thrush? my friends little boy's willy went red on the end and she rushed him straight to the docs (she does every time his nose runs to be fair!) and the doc said it was thrush, which is apparently quite common in baby boys. guess cos they are hot in their nappies all the time?

as for cleaning behind the foreskin, well - you aren't meant to do it until the foreskin seperates from his willy. i keep asking my HV about this and she says it will be 'obvious' when it happens and not to worry about it in the meantime.......he is nearly 21 months now!

I cant help i'm afraid but just wanted to say that yes Willy's are disgusting!! haha, i'm dreading having to deal with the willy situation once my baby boy comes along!!
