Feel like a bit of a cow......

hey ladies

Well, like a lot of us i find my MIL incredibly annoying about 99% of the time! She never seems to give a monkeys about me, only wants Euan when he's happy so she can cuddle him and hands him back when he starts crying (which can be straight away!!). She didnt BF any of her kids, but still feels that she can tell me i feed him too much and too often (have tried explaining demand feeding but have given up now). She has also bought him NOTHING since he was born, and considering she only lives 5 mins from our house and is relatively well off, i think thats a bit crap.....!

However........today we went shopping together and she bought him a really lovely coat (not much i know, but it meant a lot as its the first thing shes bought) and then gave me £100 to help out with Christmas as we're struggling a bit at the mo. She also paid for our coffees and then lunch and its just completely taken me aback and now i feel like a right cow for moaning so much!!

Completely pointless post i know, but its nice to know that even though MILs can be a nightmare they can also be nice when they want to!hehehe

Hiya

The fact that Euan is 5 months on Sunday and thats the first thing she has brought him is shocking so you have every right to feel how you do.
.
It was nice of her, but its took her long enough to actually do something to help. As for giving him back when he cries, thats just mad and not very nice to be fair.

My mil is wellll....weird. she is always ill, always pleading poverty, and a complete cow to be quite honest, if Megan cries she panics and thinks its the end of the world, She wouldnt dare tell me Im doing anything wrong though

Nat and Megan ( bubba is 5 months old tomoz, where has the time gone)

just reading that back i sound evil but its true but just wanted to point out she isnt always ill, she just says she is lol

Hey hun

I can't believe the coat is the first thing she has bought!! That's awful. My MIL is a vile woman (& a bit mental) however since having Thomas she has transformed - BUT we don't see her that often as she lives miles away.

I have heard that when a woman has a baby her emotions make it so that the MIL annoys her more than ever - so that's a scientific fact lol!!

Just be careful that she doesn't throw it back in your face - the fact that she has paid for stuff now & has treated you to coffee's. As for the "feeding too much" etc, things were very different in her day & we do what we do 'cos we want to & it's what we think is best for OUR kids, so just ignore her on that front - ooh that gets my goat can you tell?!?

Soz but I have seemed to get angry just my mentioning MIL lol - must be the hormones

Caz & Thomas (also nearly months) xx
