Hey girls ,

I have posted about this before but thought I would ask again as its really worrying me ..

basically, Harry is rolling onto his front - he does it all the time now - day and night. I put him to bed on his back and he'll remain in that position for a while but then in the middle of the night he will roll on to his tummy ... Ive woken up many times to find him fast asleep face down.

I really dont like it and usually end up taking him into bed with me so that I can keep an eye on him .. I know this isnt the ideal solution but I worry about it otherwise.

I have tried rolling up a towel into the shape of a horse shoe and placing it under the sheet - as advised by HV but he always manages to roll over in the end - its as if he has worked out that by wriggling, the sides go further apart, enabling him to roll lol.

Anyone else have this ???

xxx

My friend whos a maternity nanny showed me one of her techniques. Roll large towels and wedge between the cot sides and the baby from the underam down.
So the baby is still in the foot to base poistion in the cot on thier backs with thier head to side and arms by the side of thier head.
When I put Lukas down for a lunch time nap I used normal size cushions and wedge those, as the length is just perfect from his undersarms to his feet and the width of them fills the gap between him and the cotbed sides.
Ive yet to out him to bed like this at night,as he is still in his basket in our room of a night.

Eleanor sleeps face down, we put her to bed on her back and she moves to a position that I imagine is more comfy for her, I sleep on my front too, at first I'd go in and turn her, but she'd always go back again and I know she is able to roll both ways, so I believe she'll roll back if she couldn't breath properly or anything, well she's been sleeping on her front for about 2 months now, literally face flat down, and she's fine

if you google Safe T Sleep Wrap looks prety damned good rather expensive though also this safe and sound baby anti roll pillow, both of these have got great reviews especially the first one for babies who roll one way or ones that wriggle about during sleep and wake themselves or bash themselves etc xx

a thing unsure of the name they sell them most baby places you know those big like foam piping insulator things that kids swim with? well basically its 2 of those covered in fabric with fabric between them that baby lies on so they stay right up next to himthey go under the arms and kind of immobilise the baby without pinning them down ill try and find a link for one for you to look at
