I have a little boy who is two and a half and I am trying to find part time work. My employer has recently made me go full time or be made redundant (which was the option i definately couldn't afford). It doesn't have to be major money just something not stressful and allows me to work either at home or 2/3 days a week.
Are there any websites/agencies anyone could reccommend? Or even has any been in a similar situation to this as it's really getting me down. I have to go to work yet I want to be at home with my son.

Thanks

Hi, I am really saddened to hear of what's happened to you. I was reading a report in the paper yesterday that said that mothers with children under the age of 11 are the most discriminated group in the workforce.
It sounds as if your employer is taking this course of action against you on purpose, in order to make you redundant, however I obviously don't know the full circumstances of your situation.

If you do a little research on the internet you should be able to find out your rights, if you work for a large company (but from the way they are behaving I doubt you do) you can speak to your personnel dept.
In my opinion you are being treated shoddily and no wonder it's making you feel like rubbish.

I would suggest registering with your local agencies, most of them in your local area will be glad to find you work (remember they make money from placing you with a Company). You could also do part-time temp work until you find something more permanent. If you are not after big money, don't forget the big stores like the supermarkets, who offer mum friendly hours.

Finding stay at home work from websites is difficult and takes time to build it up and would not immediately replace your income. If you would like information on a stay at home option (but takes time) copy and paste this link http://katso73.mannco.hop.clickbank.n et/.

Good luck with finding a new job, I am sure that once you leave and get out you will be happy you left. As they say 'when one door closes another door opens'!

I agree you have rights, how about saying ok I'll do full time but need to work 2 days at home? Not sure if that's poss.
Sundays in the big supermarkets are good payers.what about becoming an Avon lady?

good luck
