Does anyone else think that its bad for a toddbler to watch tv, i mean its not all day. When it's time for my daughters dinner i will put a dvd on for her or Cbeebies just so she will eat her dinner (she is very fussy and tends not 2 touch her dinner). My mum complained earlier saying its bad and i shouldnt let her watch tv whilst eating dinner, but everytime i let her she eats every bit of dinner. Its not like she watch's it every hour of the day, infact probably 2 hours a day! She is only three but i admit she is very clever for her age, even her playschool teacher say's so. Please help, im sure my mum thinks im a bad parent!!

"Tv in bedroom"

My son has a TV on a bracket in his bedroom, and remote, at first I didn't leave it on stand-by and just turned it to standby when he was asleep but now I leave it on standby all the time, he hardly ever turns it on. I think he is used to having access freely so doesn't fuss about it, it is like the theory you leave sweets and fruit about and they make their own choices, it seems to work.

Occassionally I do put a DVD on the laptop on the dining table as that way he will stay put and eat his meal, otherwise he does mess around I am sure if my mum knew she wouldn't approve.
