I am absolutely petrified, I have a son who turns 16 today he was also diagnosed with Aspergers a long time ago after many years of struggling through school he is now in a state because he is due to leave education soon. He has been at a special school for the last few years and has come such a long way, as any of you with knowledge of Aspergers will know that change is one of the main triggers prior to an outburst.
I have spent many years pacifying and diluting situations but am not feeling well myself at the moment and don't feel strong enough to deal with this, I have two other children and am struggling to hold down my job. I feel like hitting the road.
My son never leaves the house other than to get on his bus at the doorstep for school, he gets straight off of his bus afterwards, runs in, locks the doors and closes all of the curtains. He has never gone out and the only friends he has are lads that he's met through XBox Live etc. He has no confidence which means he probably isn't ever going to get a job or a social life. I am tired and I'm fed up with worrying and crying.
Any suggestions!
