Sleeping issues

Our 3.5 years old used to wake up in the middle of the night and continue the resy of the night in our bed. I am now 5 months pregnant and we've been working on breaking this habit for the past 3 weeks. It is getting better although he still likes to get into our bed inthe mornings and we allow him that. are we making a big mistake? should we cut the business all together?
