Xbox live addict teen, driving me crazy!!

My nephew who is now 17 has lived with us since 15 & is driving me crazzzzyyyy!!

He goes 2 college regularly but he refuses point blank to help out in the house, he thinks if he feeds the cats once thats enough for the day!
His bedroom is a sty! he thinks a quick whip round once a month is clean!!

Its killing me because im struggling to keep up has I have a 2 year old daughter. The main problem with my nephew is that he is obsessed with Xbox 360 online gaming, i brought him the xbox 360 has a birthday present & I totally regret it because all I get is grunts out of him & he is forever swearing down the mic, shouting abuse or laughing hysterically! Its like hes totally losing touch with reality, he doesnt go out with his friends anymore & doesnt take a blind bit of notice of anything I say!

My husband feels its my place to punish him because hes my brothers son, he gets mad when he see's how its getting to me but he also thinks I go too easy on my nephew.

Ive banned the Xbox in the past & disconnected it but it only lasts 24 hours before hes got it back!! The odd day he will do something toughtful like walk the dogs without being asked but its once in a blue moon & usually he wants something for it like a new game or a driving lesson

Anyone else struggle with a cyber head? How do you cope?

Hey hunni

you know, you just gotta stand youre ground, take his xbox off him and tell him if he wishes to live in you house hes gotta stand by youre rules! after all he is 17! he should take responsability!! dont give him what he wants when he wants that will only make him worse!

good luck!!!!!!
