My little girl is 3 years old and i would like to know at what age should children brush their teeth. My little one brushes her teeth with just water and doesn't do it very well! At what age should she be using a toothpaste?

As soon as he wants to do it , thats the right time. Buy a nice soft toothbrush ,and a children's toothpaste, and brush yours at the same time to begin with so that she can copy a nice gentle thorough method.Always start with the 4 back corners. I counted out loud to 100 elephants to make it fun-with lots of gurgling and spitting for extra laughs. Counting to 100 (elephants are 1 second to say, each) should give her the time to get to everywhere properly.
I also encouaged her to enjoy sweets but to brush her teeth afterwards. She is now 16 and no fillings!
Supervising can be done at a distance after a few weeks, and its such a laugh to listen! She still does the elephants, she tells me, just in her head.
Its a lovely age

I have been brushing my daughter teeth since she was one. There is baby toothpaste that cleans whatever teeth they do have but also cleans the gums.My daughter is 3 also and she loves brushing her teeth after bathtime.I work at a daycare center with two year old and there are some kid in my class that already have brown teeth! Its sad!

I did a HUGE study on this not too long ago. I read that children should crush as early as they get their teeth. There are certain toothbrushes for younger children and there are toothpastes for children who have problems with swallowing the toothpaste. They are fluoride free! They often mommy and daddy brush with them and teach them, the quicker they will learn.

If she doesn't like the taste of mint, my sister got some strawberry-flavoured toothpaste from Boots for children
