| Thread started by: | "Talking two-year old" Posted by mel1132 10 December at 11:34
My daughter is nearly two and said her first word a couple of weeks ago, which was 'tactar', for 'tractor'. (what was everyone else's?!)
She know how to say 'Mummy' and 'Daddy', but she won't say them when the person is in the room. What can I do? thanks!

She will eventually say mommy and daddy, she's probably amazed how you all talk so often, but when she talks.. its like "WOAH!!!" tehe. I don't have any children, but I though ... was cute on my niece's first word. She went to church a lot and sat in the front row, her dad is a so-pastor at this church so she heard a lot of prayers. One day in the middle of church she just goes "Amen" and that was it.. they were amazed. So cute

Don't worry, it's just a phase. She will eventually work it out, they like to experiment and I think it probably comes down to shyness. I'd be a bit nervous if I didn't know how to speak too!
My first didn't say anything until two and a half, so be happy!
